Product Release Letter
Works (is compatible) with:
AVEVA Everything3D 2.1.0
Intergraph CAESAR II Pipe Stress Analysis software (versions 5 and above)
Note: This product uses an internationally recognised transfer format for building stress models so it may
also be used on other stress packages which support the cii standards
Supersedes:
This is a new product and does not directly supersede any previous product.
Installations using setup.exe will install in the current AVEVA Everything3D 2.1 installed directory in the
asso_products folder.
First Release
This product release is first available on the AVEVA support website support.aveva.com as AVEVA Pipe
Stress Interface 2.1, release number 52411.
Overview of Product
This product provides a quick and easy interface to external pipe stress calculation software. It enables the
user to compile up to 100 pipe branches at a time into a stress group which is then transferred into a
suitable external stress package for analysis.
Once the analysis is complete the stress model can be returned to the 3-D design to show deflections,
small layout changes and new restraint data. The returned model is a reference model and does not
directly change the original model so changes may be reviewed before implementation
Development Testing
Developers have carried out unit testing of each enhancement and/or fix in the development environment
to verify that any new functionalities have been correctly implemented and identified defects have been
corrected.
Regression tests have been run in the development environment to verify that enhancements and/or fixes
have not adversely affected the integrity of the product.
System Testing
Independent system testing has been carried out on the product, as released, to verify that it installs
correctly in all supported configurations and that product functionality operates as intended, subject to
any known exceptions listed below.
Acceptance Testing
This document has been prepared before Acceptance Testing. This product release will be subjected to an
acceptance test by AVEVAs Training and Product Support Group.
Any exceptions found during Acceptance Testing or after release will be reported in the Product Release
Latest Update Note on AVEVA's support web site http://downloads.aveva.com/52411/w52411.pdf.
Compatibility with AVEVA E3D 2.1 Supports (TFS-153880). AVEVA Pipe Stress Interface is unable to
identify the new Supports data model.
