prescriptionofmedicinesbyaboutadozenantibiotics.Thereare
ayurvedicdoctorswhodonotknowastrology.Astrologicalmedical
diagnosisisjustinarudimentaryform.

The essence of his admonitions are wellmeaning. I don't think that he is
tryingtocriticiseor"putdown"anybody.AstrologyissimilartoMechanical
Engineering, Medicine or Dentistry in that it is an indepth Science and I
rememberlearningAstrologyespeciallyHowToDrawaHoroscopefromProf
B.V.Raman'sBook:"AstrologyforBeginners"(Thatwas1995).Ifoundthat
afterIwentthroughProfRaman'sbookontheTechnicalMattersofCasting
Horoscopes I had INCULCATED a more technically orientated mind which
provedveryhelpfulinlateryears.Merelyfeedingacomputerwithbirthdata
andreadingthePhalamswillstillleaveussemienlightenedIFWEDONOT
KNOWTHEBASICSONHOWTODRAWACHARTMANUALLY.I'mnoauthority
on the Subject of Vedic Astrology, but I agree with Prof KN Rao that we
should be able to cast a chart manually. And once we can cast a chart
manually, then there is NO Harm in using Jyotish Software, provided that
youareabletoCOMPARE&CONTRASTyourownknowledgetothatwhichis
beinggivenoutbytheJyotishSoftware.

Sir,thecomputerisatool.Thereisadifferencebetweensayingitasitis,
andsayingitasitis,harshly.Somehowyourwritingcomesintothesecond
category.Thishoweverisnottocastaspersionsonyourabilitiesorthoughts
or deeds. I am saying it with reverence: A herb does not have a choice,
becauseithascharacteristicsofbitternesswithrespecttous,howeverwe
haveachoiceofbeingcurativeaswellaspleasant.Compuslavesisbetter
thancompudiots.
