Bothhismantraguru,SwamiParamanandaSaraswati,andhisjyotish
guru,YogiBhaskarananda,taughthimsomesecretsofspiritual

AmongRaosrecentfundamentalandmostoriginalresearchesarehis
twobooks"PredictingthroughJaimini'sCharaDasha"and"Predicting
throughKarakamshaandMandookDasha".Ithasbeenpossibleforhim
toproducesuchresearchesbecausehewastoldbyhisjyotishguruthat
whatwasinparampara(tradition)wasmuchmorethanwhatwas
containedinbooksofastrologywhicharetranslatedliterallyandare
withoutillustrationsgenerally.

Hisownmother,whowashisfirstjyotishguru,knewmanysuch
traditionalsecrets,partsofwhichRaohasrevealedinhisthreebooks
UpsandDownsinCareers,"Astrology,DestinyandtheWheelof
Time"and"PlanetsandChildren".ItwasthemantraguruofRao,
SwamiParamanandaSaraswati,whofirstaskedRaonottogiveup
astrologyasithadtobeanintegralpartofhissadhana.Lateragreat
yogi,SwamiMoorkhanandji,prophesiedin1982thathewouldbethe
architectofagreatastrologicalrenaissance.Whetherthatisalready
fulfilledornotcanbegaugedfromtheimpressivelistofhisresearches
publishedinhiswritings.

Intheyear2000whenK.N.Rao.wasailingseriouslyandwasunable
eventowalk,astrologywasintroducedasasubjectofstudyinmodern
Indianuniversities,(ithasbeentaughtinSanskritinstitutionsformany
decadesandcenturies),itwasrelentlesslyattackedbythepseudo
scientists,pseudointellectualsandthemedia,bothprintandelectronic,
carriedonarelentlesspropaganda.

AcasewasfiledfirstagainstthisdecisionoftheUniversityGrants
CommissioninMadrasHighCourtwhereitwasdismissedon
preliminarygrounds.ThewellknownscientistPadmanabhiahfileda
similarcaseinAndhraPradeshHighCourtwheretooitwasdismissed
onpreliminarygrounds.Surprisingly,notasingleEnglishknowningand
speakingastrologersinthesetwocitadelsofHinduorthodoxyeven
decidedtoappearaspetitionerinperson.Thatspeaksvolumesfor
their"loveandpride"inthegreatancientHinduastrology.

ButPadmanabhiahpursuedthedismissedcasefurtherandappealedto
theSupremeCourtwherethelegalluminary,ShantiBhushan
succeededingettingthecaseadmittedtobeheardonmerits.

Recoveringslowlyfromhissickness,notyetfittositforlonghoursin
acourtoflaw,RaoappealedtoastrologersofDelhiandofother
centrestoappearinpersonanddefendthecauseandcaseofastrology
intheSupremeCourt.Atleasttwentyofthempromisedtodosobut
notoneofthemcameanywhereneartheSupremeCourteventohear
proceedingsofthecasewhenitwasbeingheardforadmission!Later,
whenitwasheardonmeritson4November2004,tohisconsternation,
Raofoundthathewastheonlypetitionerinpersontodefenditand
prayingtoGodtogivehimstaminatodefendthecase,henotmerely
defendedthecasebutevenwondemolishingalltheargumentsofthe
famouslawyer,ShantiBhushan.

Readanaccountofallthiswithevidencesandthecourtjudgement
togetherwiththegreatresearchRaohasdoneonthereligioscientific
sociallegacyofIndia'scompositecultureinASTROLOGYTHESUPER
SCIENCE.InthisbookmanyoftheremarkablepredictionsgivenbyRao
inmundaneastrologyaregivenalongwithsomenotablefailuresabout
whichhehadalwayshadthesterlinghonestytowriteasanideal
teacher.

Thesamemedia,somewellknownEnglishnewspapersandweeklies
andthepsudointellectuals,scientistswhoneverstudiedastrologybut
attackeditthrowingbehindtheirignorancetheweightoftheir
reputationsand,thetelevision,everreferredtothetriumphof
astrologyinthehighestcourtofIndia!!!Thecriticsofastrologythus
sufferedahattrickofdefeatsbuttherearesometelevisionchannels
whichstillcarryonthisattackslylynotknowingthattheycanbesued

whydoesitnottakeupafightagainstfraudulentastrologerswhomake
fortunesinthenameoffraudulentandnonexistentyogaslikeKAAL
SARPAYOGAandcostlyremedialmeasuresthroughwhichtheycheat
peoplealloverIndia?

Raoiswellknownallovertheworldforsomenotableachievements,
thegreatestbeingasthefoundermemberoftheworld'slargestschool
ofastrologyintheBharatiyaVidyaBhawan,NewDelhiwherethereare
in2006,morethanninehundredstudentsandtwentysixteacherson
theteachingfacultyoftheInstituteofAstrology.

NotmerelyisRaoahighlysuccessfulteacherbutistheteacherof
teachersbesidesbeingaveryrationalandscientificastrologerwho
wantssanityandmodernizationtoasciencewhichotherwisewill
remainarchaicandlooklikethevestigalremnantofadogmaandnot
thesuperscienceitreallyis.Allthemembersoftheteaching
facultyoftheBharatiyaVidyaBhawanarehisownformerstudents.
Hehasencouragedallofthemtowritebookswiththeiroriginal
researchesandfifteenofthemhavedoneitsofar.

Singlehandedly,Raohasencouragedandproducedmorewritersand
researchersthananylivingordeadastrologer.Healsoeditsthe
JournalofAstrologywhichisthebestastrologicalthreemonthly

Togivetojyotishathroughrediscoveryandresearch,Raohaswritten
nearlythirtybookssomeofwhichhavebeentranslatedinRussianand
