This task is useful for me, because I was observing the teacher and see how
she manages her time. I had learned many things of being punctual on time,
and I knew that a teacher should have a schedule to follow the whole day. In
addition, the teacher should also have a plan what she will do in her free time
at school. The mentor used the time in a good way, even for those students
who dont attend Islamic session there was an activity that they enjoy doing.
For example: the students who dont attend the Islamic class, they spend the
same time other students spend at the session however they do different
activities. Sometimes if the children are doing a task during a session the
teacher use an alarm to alarm students when to stop working, which is a good
idea that they get informed when the time finishes to move to another activity
(see picture 2).
In my opinion, it is better to set a time for each activity so when you apply it
you have an idea when it will be. This is what I saw in the student's schedule,
which is showing exactly at what time the children will do specific activity
(see picture 1). The students got used to their schedules, so they respect and
follow it and they know what each group of the class will be doing each day in
specific sessions depending on the groups color. Moreover, the class is divided
into four groups and each group does a different game/activity which is fun
and motivating (see picture 3). I really enjoy my time with KG 2 A even in
break time and when they study math and science, because they learn the topic
by games or watching pictures and videos.
