Universitt Dresden

Dear Sirs. Board Members / Teachers,

I am writing to express my great interest in applying for PhD Scholarship,

(Bolsas de Doutoramento (BD-FCT 2017)).

In 2011 I completed my degree in Automation Robotics and Control Indus-

trial, in the technological school of Vale de Cambra in Portugal, with the final
grade of 13 values. Subsequently in May 2013, I got the MBA degree in Soft-
ware Engineering at the university centre UNIEURO, (final grade of 16 values)
Brasilia, Brazil
During my academic years, I worked on a research project for the Brazil-
ian army, where the goal of the project was to build a SOA middleware for the
communication of tanks/Armored War and the General Headquarters, my role
in the project was SOA Architect, responsible for orchestrating together with
other researchers. The modeling tool that we use in this project was: Boni-
taSoft. In other projects also had the opportunity to work with: Mule Studio,
Bizagi and the WSO2 Developer Studio. Fortunately also had the opportunity
in participate in the implementation of testing phase. Where we use the Soa-
pUI test tool to identify errors and verify the quality of software / web services
implemented.
Between June 2015 and January 2016 I went to Technische Universitt
Dresden in Germany work as a visiting professor. My current research involves
the development of the next generation of Cloud Computing and OpenStack
directed to space systems, currently Im working on this topic as a PhD student
in Centre for Informatics and Systems of the University of Coimbra (CISUC).
It is worth emphasizing that I am also linked to the groups Cloud Management
at Huaweis European Research Center in Munich, Germany and on the InIT
Cloud Computing Lab (ICCLab) of the the Service Prototyping Lab (SPLab) in
the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW) in Switzerland.
These laboratory experiences provide me the training and therefore skills
as well as in the elicitation and orchestration of web services with principles
such as autonomy, loose coupling, abstraction, level of control over their en-
vironment and its basic features and so on. This scholarship will be essential
and indispensable for assistance the charges associated with my frequency and
exclusive dedication on the doctoral program in information science and tech-
nology enabling my dedication to full time to academic research in develop-
ment.
As well as my good understanding of academic principles, I am a very moti-
vated, hardworking and effective individual. Throughout my career, I obtained
a good communication and organizational skills. It makes me confident that
I will be suitable for working confident during my PhD at the University of
