PART III: PRESENTATION: WHY WE NEED EACH OTHER

So we, though many, are one body in Christ and individually parts of one
another (Romans 12:5).

1. I NEED OTHERS TO WALK WITH ME.

So, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in him, rooted in him and
built upon him and established in the faith as you were taught, abounding
in thanksgiving (Colossians 2:6-7)

The LORD God said: It is not good for the man to be alone (Genesis
2:18).

We should not stay away from our assembly, as is the custom of some,
but encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25).

Community is Gods answer to loneliness.

So what is to be done, brothers? When you assemble, one has a psalm,

another an instruction, a revelation, a tongue, or an interpretation.
Everything should be done for building up But if a revelation is given to
another person sitting there, the first one should be silent (1 Corinthians
14:26, 30-31).

from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every
supporting ligament, with the proper functioning of each part, brings about
the body's growth and builds itself up in love (Ephesians 4:16).

Be hospitable to one another without complaining (1 Peter 4:9).

2. I NEED OTHERS TO WORK WITH ME.

For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for the good works that
God has prepared in advance, that we should live in them" (Ephesians
2:10).

Two are better than one: they get a good wage for their labor
(Ecclesiastes 4:9).

Community is Gods answer to fatigue.

So then, while we have the opportunity, let us do good to all, but

especially to those who belong to the family of the faith (Galatians 6:10).

3. I NEED OTHERS TO WATCH OUT FOR ME.

each looking out not for his own interests, but (also) everyone for those
of others (Philippians 2:4).

Let mutual love continue (Hebrews 13:1).

Where a lone man may be overcome, two together can resist. A three-ply
cord is not easily broken (Ecclesiastes 4:12

Community is Gods answer to defeat.

If the one falls, the other will lift up his companion. Woe to the solitary
man! For if he should fall, he has no one to lift him up (Ecclesiastes 4:10).

4. I NEED OTHERS TO WAIT AND WEEP WITH ME.

Finally, all of you, be of one mind, sympathetic, loving toward one another,
compassionate, humble (1 Peter 3:8).

If (one) part suffers, all the parts suffer with it; if one part is honored, all
the parts share its joy (1 Corinthians 1226).

Community is Gods answer to despair.

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Be happy
with those who are happy, weep with those who weep (Romans 12:15).

Therefore, encourage one another and build one another up, as indeed
you do (1 Thessalonians 5:11).

5. I NEED OTHERS TO WITNESS WITH ME.

This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for
one another" (John 13:35).

For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice but rather of power and love
and self-control (2 Timothy 1:7).

Gods answer to fear is community.

Only, conduct yourselves in a way worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that,

whether I come and see you or am absent, I may hear news of you, that you
are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind struggling together for the
faith of the gospel (Philippians 1:27).

PART IV: INTEGRATION (45 MINUTES)

PART V: SCRIPTURE MEMORY VERSE

PART VI: CLOSING PRAYER

MAKE ME A CHANNEL OF YOUR PEACE. WHERE THERE IS HATRED, LET ME

BRING YOUR LOVE. WHERE THERE IS INJURY, YOUR PARDON, LORD. AND
WHERE THERES DOUBT, TRUE FAITH IN YOU.

MAKE ME A CHANNEL OF YOUR PEACE. WHERE THERES DESPAIR IN LIFE,

LET ME BRING HOPE. WHERE THERE IS DARKNESS, ONLYU LIGHT. AND
WHERE THERE IS SADNESS, EVER JOY.

O MASTER, GRANT THAT I MAY NEVER SEEK SO MUCH TO BE CONSOLED

AS TO CONSOLE, TO BE UNDERSTOOD AS TO UNDERSTAND, TO BE LOVED,
AS TO LOVE WITH ALL MY SOUL.

MAKE ME A CHANNEL OF YOUR PEACE. IT IS IN PARDONING THAT WE ARE

PARDONED. IN GIVING TO ALL MEN THAT WE RECEIVE, AND IN DYING
THAT WERE BORN TO ETERNAL LIFE.

GLORY TO THE FATHER, AND TO THE SON, AND TO THE HOLY SPIRIT.
