Ovaj rad razmatra jedan pristup UPQC-DC za sluaj poboljanja KEE, odnosno
harmonijskih izoblienja. U radu su detaljno prezentirana poboljanja na jednom
primjeru. Analizirani primjer je dobro opisan i rezultati (grafici) pokazuju prednosti
predloenog pistupa.

This paper discusses an approach on UPQC-DC in terms of improving the power

quality, respectively harmonic distortion. In this paper the improvements are
presented in one example. The analyzed example is well described and the results
(graphs) show the benefits of the proposed approach.

Smanjiti broj referenci i navesti tano iz kojih referenci su preuzeti odreeni podaci.
Ovo nije pregledni rad, ali je na uvod potroeno cca 60 referenci. Nije tano
definisano odakle je ta preuzeto. Rezultati su dobro opisani.

The number of references should be reducend and specified exactly from which
references the specific datas are taken. This is not a review type of paper, but only
on introduction about 60 references are used. It is not exactly defined what is taken
from where. Results have been widely described.

Mislim da nedostaje malo vie opisa AC/DC microgrids.

I think the paper lacks a little more description of AC/DC microgrids.

Fig. 1 bolje objasniti, tj. pojedini segmenti koji su zaokrueni uopte nisu objanjeni.

Fig. 1 needs to be better explained. Certain segments of the figure that are rounded
are not explained at all.

Fig. 2a. ta su zaokrueni dijelovi slike? Generalno, zbog sloenosti slike, teko je
upratiti ta se deava jer nema popratnih detalja koji bi pratili model od poetka.

Fig. 2a. What are the rounded parts of the picture? Overall, due to the complexity of
the image, it is difficult to trace what happens because there is no accompanying
details that track the model from the beginning.

Oznake na Fig. 5. i Relaciji (1) nisu istog tipa. Usaglasiti ovo.

The variables on Fig. 5. and (1) are not the same type. This needs to be coordinated
better.

Moda bi bilo dobro da autori usporede svoje rezultate sa rezultatima iz reference:

The authors should maybe compare their results with the results from the

U razmatranom primjeru znaajan je sadraj viih harmonika u struji. Predloeni

pristup kod ovog primjera je vrlo efikasan. Da li predloeni pristup je isto (opisati)
efikasan i kod niih vrijednosti harmonika u valnom obliku struje?

The considered example has a significant content of higher current harmonics. The
proposed approach in this example is very efficient. Does the proposed approach
has the same efficiency (and if yes, please explain) at lower values of harmonics in
the current waveform?

Questions about the battery model.

1. Please explain in Fig. 9: how the initial value for the battery SOC is estimated?
2. Which the battery model is used for simulation?
3. Can You write the battery model in its mathematical form?
4. What type of the battery is used in simulations?
5. During the simulation, did You respect the battery operational constraints?
Did You involve them in the battery model? Did You violate the maximum
charge current during the charging in all scenarios?
(The battery operational constraints during the charging/discharging are: the
upper and lower threshold voltage level, the maximum charge and discharge
currents, the maximum and minimum state of charge (SOC) which are
provided by manufacturer datasheet. If these constraint are not respected,
the battery or the battery stack would not have its lifetime provided by
manufacturer. Additionally, the battery charge current is significantly less
than the battery discharge current.)

Doprinos rad je simulacija i pristup rjeavanja problema, poboljanja KEE.

The paper research contribution is the simulation of the case study, the problem
solving approach and the improvement of the power quality.

3. Is it clearly presented and well organized?

The paper is satisfactorily organized.

4. Does it give adequate references to related work?

Rad sadri duu listu referenci. Ne vidi se tano ta je iz koje reference preuzeto.

The paper contains a longer list of references. I can not be exactly seen what was
taken from which reference.

5. Are the conclusions sound and justified?

Zakljuak ukazuje na doprinose rada. Iz zakljuka treba izbaciti slike (moda su

samo posljedica kompajliranja teksta).

The conclusions point on the contribution of the work. The images from the
conclusions should be removed (or perhaps they are only positioned there as a
result of the compiling the text).
