Dear Friend,
Greetings to you in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
There have been some marvelous things taking place here at church through
prayer. But prayer alone means little if the Lord doesn't answer. Yet God has
head our prayers and answered our petitions! I recently heard a testimony of
a little boy who was brought to Hartford Hospital. A couple of our ladies
went there and prayed for him. Though he received a partial healing, there
were still some complications. Just last week I heard an update on his
situation. He is now completely healed, playing and running around as if
there never was a problem! That's just one answer the Lord gave to that
family! I wrote this because sometimes our answers might take a long time
to come. But if you are patient and always keep the Lord before you, He will
answer that prayer of faith and fulfill your petitions in His time!
In Mark 16 we read of the days following the death of the Lord Jesus.
3 women went to the tomb early in the morning to anoint the body of Christ
with spices. They asked each other on their way there, "Who shall roll us
away the stone from the door of the sepulchre?" There are things in this
life that are just too big for us to move in order to enter God's presence.
Sometimes we think our situations are impossible... and they are, for us. But
nothing is impossible with God! When they arrived, they looked, and they
saw the stone was already rolled away! Those things that are impossible with
man are not impossible with God. They went there with a heart full of love.
One last time they would minister to the body of Christ. One last time they
would hold Him, lovingly care for Him, perfume Him with the sweet spices
they prepared for Him. Did you ever feel like you would do a service for
God but it seemed like a huge stone was in your way and you could never in
your own strength roll it away? Let me encourage you today. All of heaven is
at our disposal when we have faith, believing God for the miraculous! One
of the Gospels said the angel of the Lord had descended and rolled the stone
away, frightening the soldiers that were stationed there.
The Bible tells us that faith works by love. These women, their
hearts full of love for the Lord Jesus, were willing to reach out to Him in the
darkness of morning, past the Roman soldiers, faced with the impossibility
of the task before them, yet they persevered and pushed aside their own
doubts and fears, and made their way to the cemetery. Sometimes we over-
think our circumstance. They knew they were on a mission that day.
Certainly God would make a way for them, whether the soldiers would help
them or not, some way, some how they would get to Jesus. "If we can only
get to Jesus, everything would be alright!"
When they got there, the stone was rolled away, and they saw an angel
there who had a message for them. "Ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was
crucified: He is risen; He is not here: behold the place where they laid
Him." He is never where people put Him. People try to limit Him, whether
in life or in death. He is unlimited! "But go your way, tell His disciples and
Peter that He goeth before you into Galilee." Remember, Peter had denied
that he ever knew Him. He carried so much guilt and shame for failing the
Lord. Yet the Lord had a special message for Peter, too. He did not cast him
away, though he had failed Him. Is that you? Have you come short and fear
that the Lord will not accept you? Have you denied the Lord when the need
was greatest? Jesus has a message for you as well. "He goeth before you..."
"He is risen, as He said!" Jesus said once, "In the world ye shall have
tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world" (John
16:33). The power of God, the over-coming strength He possesses, is
available to help you overcome every hindrance and obstacle you face. He
will not leave you nor forsake you, once you ask Him into your life. If you
confess your sins to Him, He will forgive and cleanse you and justify you in
God's sight. And today He says to us, "Peace be unto you."
I invite you to come hear the Word of God and grow in faith. Our
church services are open to you. Our schedule of services are: Sunday at 10
am and 7 pm, and Wednesday at 7:30 pm. Our Easter Sunday service
(4/16/2017) will be at 8 am. May God bless and keep you in His care.
Sincerely,

Rev. Daniel Bossidy
