Mother Nature
O mother nature,
You are always so helpful to your children,
Allowing us space to live and rest
On your fertile ground
And I get mother’s food from
Fresh fruit juices
And often from the taste of
Transparent, cool, flowing water
For life and survival.
24
I know, I am a poor ruler
As other humans invade
The green land you gave me to rule,
Humans deform the natural sculpture on woods
They tear apart the bed of flowers
And add pungent mud on river water
Because they love to hate the beauty you made
I owe you a lot and wonder
How can you forgive them mother nature?
25
Woman’s Most Precious Role-Playing

Animal Vs. Human Mothers
I saw a tigress
Hurt one of her own cubs
When it disobeyed her,
While all the other cubs
Were learning quickly to hunt and swim,
It showed its fear.
I saw a mother
Whose son did not listen to her,
He was so disobedient,
She brought him to the right path,
And repeatedly counselled him for his wrong deeds
By her motherly affection and patience.
29
My Supportive Mother
I need to go abroad
To pursue higher education,
But I need money for that,
Who will finance my education?
Don’t worry,
She is going to arrange a bank loan for that.
30
She tells papa that my wife is of her nature.
End Note: In this poem, the word ‘papa’ is used as a synonymous term for father.
31
Agonies Of A Working Mom
32
Only stopping in the middle
For buying raw foods,
Inside home I see
My daughter watching cartoons indifferently,
I silently go to kitchen for dropping goods.
33
The Sacred Mother
End Note: The city in this poem refers to the international metro city, Kolkata. To know more about
Mother Teresa please search online or do your research offline.
34
My Village Mother

My mother has not unraveled
The mystery hidden inside
Dan Brown’s latest bestseller.
