Plot

This story started with introduces Aylmer, scientist, an eminent proficient in every branch
of natural philosophy. He wants to marriage with gorgeous woman so he marriage with Georgiana even
though she was not perfect like he wants. A small birthmark on her cheek made him uneasy; it had
been troubling him and begins to hate it. One day he asked his wife, Georgiana has it never occurred
to you that the mark upon your cheek might be removed? At first she said that she did not want to
remove it because she thought that the birthmark on her left cheek called a charm that she was simple
enough to imagine it might be so. But not for Aylmer, he though it quite destroyed the effect of
Georgiana's beauty, and rendered her countenance even hideous. One nights he remain of his dream
which He had fancied himself with his servant Aminadab, attempting an operation for the removal of
the birthmark; but the deeper went the knife, the deeper sank the hand, until at length its tiny grasp
appeared to have caught hold of Georgiana's heart; whence, however, her husband was inexorably
resolved to cut or wrench it away. Because of that he gazed Georgiana with disgust look. Georgiana
learn that look and feel uneasy. She started think that her birthmark was disgust and ugly. She decides
to agree with her husband for removing her birthmark. Aylmer happily doing research to find something
that could remove it, after that he found a potion from his science experiment and applied to
Georgiana. It was success, the birthmarks was gone but unfortunately the potion made her dying and
died. Georgiana last word was "you have aimed loftily; you have done nobly. Do not repent that with so
high and pure a feeling, you have rejected the best the earth could offer. Aylmer, dearest Aylmer, I am
dying!"

Repression

Day after day, whenever she looked up, Georgiana found Aylmer staring at her,
sometimes with a look of appalled disgust.

Georgiana soon learned to shudder at his gaze. A glance from him would change
her rosy cheeks into a deathlike paleness causing the crimson birthmark to stand
out.

Results of repression:

Because the gaze of her husband, make her began to hate the birthmark. And agree
to remove it for her husband happiness
