This course is intended to provide knowledge, concept, principles , practices and other related information relative to fundamental
knowledge in physics in specific purpose and application in the field of science. It is designed to provide students with the opportunity to
relate traditional concepts and principles in physics to the present concept and principles of physics especially their so many advance
innovations in this field of science.
The course is intended to provide students with insights and information about the present environment condition. The basic task is to make an
integrated part of thinking and action the constructive approach to the environment both pragmatically and philosophically.
Environmental condition is a process recognizing the value and various conceptions with the aim of determining the skills and approaches
necessary for understanding the connection between man, his culture and bio-physical environment. It includes the teaching on determining certain
values and the ability to clearly think of complicated problems which are much political, economic and philosophical as they are technical.
It is therefore the main concern of this course to help students find and understand the different relationships existing between living organism and
their environment. It also attempts to introduce science as a unified enterprise aimed at seeking explanation on the workings of nature.
General:
1. understand the relationship between living organism (especially of man) and his immediate environment;
2. gain a variety of experiences and acquire a basic understanding of the environment and the problems associated with it.
3. help other students or other individuals acquire an awareness of sensitivity to the total environment and to its allied problems.
4. have the opportunity to be actively involved in working out solution of particular environmental problems; and
5. acquire a set of values and feeling of concern for the environment and the motivation to actively participate in environmental improvement and
protection.
Specific:
1. acquire, relate and apply basic knowledge, concepts and principles in physics to engineering problems and challenges;
2. develop students capability in analyzing problems using critical and analytical process which is applicable to decision making;
3. demonstrate skills in problem solving;
4. equip students in using technical specifications and instructions regarding equipments in physics that they will be using in their field
of expertise; and to develop independent learning process with minimal teacher supervision.
