For Julia, In The Deep

Water
The speaker seems to be talking to his daughter about
her swimming instructor and how she may seem merciless at first but it is all about trying to
teach her. It may seem hard and feel like they dont care but it has to be done for her to learn.
She will have to learn how to swim if she wants to get to her parents who are at the darker
end or the deep end of the pool. It is important to know how to swim in order to learn how to
live in what kills us. This means that while one can drown in water and die, if you learn the
proper skills necessary to survive in such an environment you are able conquer that danger and
live in it.
