Time Instructional Procedures and Strategies

Beginning the Lesson:


Teacher will ask students to take their science book.
Teacher will start by asking a question to the class.
One thing that you liked from the field trip.
Teacher will introduce the lesson and the objectives.
Lesson: Floating or Sinking.
15 min Objectives: to explain the meaning of float and sink and to learn the differences of
each one.
Teacher will show a video of floating and sinking process.

Developing the Lesson:


Teacher will ask students to arrange the tables by joining four tables together.
Teacher will divide them into 6 groups.
Teacher will explain the experiment:
1. Water, objects, record paper, provided to each table.
2. Teacher will ask students to put the given objects inside the water and
record what they see. (float/sink)
30 min After the experiment teacher will ask each group to share two objects from their
record list and explain their reason.
Teacher will ask students to clear the water and the objects and keep the record
paper on the desk.

Closing the Lesson:


Teacher will ask students to write a reflection about the experiment in at least
three sentences.
Teacher will review the lesson again.
