SYNOPSIS
This course covers:
functions,
limits and continuity,
differentiation,
integration,
complex numbers and
matrices
Topics discussed include:
various types and characteristics of functions,
concept of sequences, series and relationship,
various techniques for differentiation and integration and
solving simultaneous equations using matrices

COURSE OUTCOMES (CO)
1. Solve engineering problems using various function types and
characteristics, concept of sequence, series and relationship, various
techniques of differentiation and integration and matrices
(Cognitive level: 70%)

2. Demonstrate the ability using electronic tools for solving


mathematical problems related to engineering
(Psychomotor level: 20%)

3. Discuss in groups problem solving techniques using various function


types and characteristics, concept of sequence, series and relation,
various techniques of differentiation and integration and solving
simultaneous equations using matrices
(Affective level: 10%)
