Dear Sir / Madam,

Meeting of Local Managing Committee members of GIT has been organized at


Conference Hall, GIT, Lavel on Wednesday, the 22nd February, 2017 at 12:30 P.M.
and the agenda for the same is as follows:
1. To confirm the minutes of last meeting held on 23.01.2017 (Annexure I)
2. To discuss regarding action taken report of last meeting (Annexure II)
3. To discuss regarding MIS for January 2017 (Annexure III)
4. To seek approval for purchases made during the period from 01.01.2017 to
31.01.2017 (Annexure IV)
5. To sanction new appointments during the period from 01.01.2017 to
31.01.2017 (Annexure V).
6. To sanction the Half Pay Leaves and Earned leaves availed by the staff
during 01.01.2017 to 31.01.2017 (Annexure VI)
7. To discuss any other important issue with the kind permission of Chair.

Minutes of Meeting

Minutes of Meeting of Local Managing Committee held on 23rd January 2017 at the
Conference Hall, GIT, Lavel at 10.30 hrs.

Leave of absence was granted to Dr.K.H.Gharda, Mr.U.Vidyasagaran, and


Mr.D.K.Shenoy, Mr.A.C.Bhosale and Prof.M.S.Gadre.

Principal Dr.P.S.Joshi welcomed the members of Local Managing Committee present


for the meeting and the following business was transacted as per the points on
agenda dated 19.01.2017 circulated to all the members on 19.01.2017:

1. In absence of Dr.K.H.Gharda, Dr.M.G.Gokhale was requested to chair the


meeting and was accepted unanimously.

2. The minutes of last LMC meeting held on 28th December 2016 were read out and
confirmed.

3. The budget for 2017-18 prepared by the Principal was discussed in the meeting.
Review of the pending fees from the student was discussed.

a) Principal informed the members about total pending fee of Rs20.49 Lakhs
from the students for the academic year 2016-17 and also Rs3.98 Lakhs from
the previous year i.e. 2015-16. Principal also informed the various measures
taken to recover the fee.
b) The review of estimated/expected admission for the academic year 2017-18
was taken. The Principal informed the various measures taken to improve the
number of admissions. He also informed that Branches like Computer and
ExTc, where admission was less in the previous year, will show an
improvement due to changing industrial scenario. Estimated student
admission was accordingly fixed at realistic level.
c) The fee structure applicable was also discussed and it was noted that the Fee
regulating authority has so far not fixed the fee and usual interim hike has
also not been approved for first year admission. As such revenue from fee
was fixed as per the existing fee structure.
d) The various expense heads like expenditure on teachers training and research
and development expenses were discussed.

4. After due deliberation, the budget presented was approved with suitable
amendments.

5. The review of preparation for NAAC visit was taken and members expressed
satisfaction about the progress of the college in this regard.

6. Approval to Purchases: LMC approved the purchases of Rs.1468081/- made


during the period from 01.12.2016 to 31.12.2016 as per Annexure IV.

7. Approval of New Appointments: LMC approved new appointments during the


period 01.12.2016 to 31.12.2016 as per Annexure V.

8. Approval to EL & HPL: LMC approved the Earned Leaves and Half Pay Leaves
availed by the staff members during the period from 01.12.2016 to 31.12.2016 as
per Annexure VI.
