I disagree with this statement. If you are a celebrity, its usually because of your work, as an actor,
musician, writer, or whatever. A story in a newspaper can change the way the public thinks about you,
and this could damage your career.
For example, in my country recently, there was a newspaper story about a well-known TV presenter
taking cocaine at a party. Whether or not he uses cocaine doesnt necessarily make any difference to his
work, but the TV company fired him anyway. Thats sad for the TV presenter, but as far as I know the
story was true, and he should have known what would happen before he took drugs in public. But what if
the story had been made up by a journalist? That might have cost the man his career. Even if he hadnt
been fired, it might have damaged his image, and made it more difficult for him to get work. Also,
journalists are paid to discover the truth and write about it. Making things up is lazy journalism.

and what a fantastically entertaining match this has been. But now its Sanchez to serve and Was
that in or out? The umpire says it was in. Thats fifteenlove. But wait a minuteBarrington is protesting. He
says it was out! Hes arguing with the umpire. I have to say, Barrington can be a rather arrogant player at timesin
a polite English way, of course! His girlfriend is sitting in the front row, and even shes looking a bit embarrassed.
Well, the umpire has refused to change his mind, and its Sanchez to serve again. The ball goes over the
net, Barrington returns it, Sanchez hits it back fast andyes! Its thirtylove. Sanchez has always been an
incredibly skillful player and really hasnt disappointed his fans today. Sanchez to serve again and can you believe
it!? Fortylove! The crowd is going mad! I think the end of the match is very, very near. The umpire calls for
silence, and Sanchez serves
Well, look at that! What a serve! I dont think Ive ever seen a ball move so fast! Sanchez wins the game,
the set, the match, and of course the championship! You cant help feeling sorry for Barrington, but
theres no doubt that Sanchez has been the superior player today.

Hi, its me againthe photographer from World Geographic magazine. This time I want to tell you about Mount
Kilimanjaro, which I visited recently. Its one of the natural treasures of the world, and is sometimes known as the
Roof of Africa. Its nearly four miles high, and its the highest point in Africa.
So first of all, where exactly is it? Well, its in northeastern Tanzania in East Africa, more or less
equidistant from Cairo to the north and Cape Town to the south, and its around 220 miles south of the
equator.
Kilimanjaros snow-capped peaks have long captured the imaginations of travelers. Every year,
thousands of visitors visit Tanzania to climb the mountain and to see its spectacular glaciers.
However, the mountain is much more than a tourist attraction. The glaciers are a vital source of water for
drinking and farming for people living in the surrounding areas. Unfortunately, Kilimanjaros glaciers have
shrunk by around 80 percent over the last hundred years. Pictures taken from satellites in space have
shown that the snowcap is disappearing faster than ever before.
So why is the ice melting? Well, there are several theories. For one thing, the mountain is in a tropical
region, so its ice is particularly vulnerable to climate change. Global warming is causing the ice to melt on
mountains all around the world. Another factor is deforestation. Trees keep the air cooler and add
moisture to the atmosphere, creating clouds and then rain.
Experts predict that the mountains glaciers could disappear completely within a few years. As well as
losing an important source of water, Tanzania may see a decrease in tourismand the revenue it
generates.
What can I say? If you get the chance, see the glaciers of Kilamanjaro while theyre still there, and turn
down your air conditioning a little so maybe theyll still be there for future generations.
