Many companies think that profit is the main objective in developing

the business, but there is one thing that is not less important in
developing a company is called Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). CSR
becomes very important when building a company that can be long-
lasting by developing society, maintaining social values that exist in
society and protecting the environment, so it can create a good
relationship between the company and the community, even more the
company can create a sustainable business that is not only to gain benefit
but also can provide other benefits to community.

CSR as a same thing as investment. it will return one day to the

company either directly or indirectly. An example is when a company
conducts CSR form of construction of a hospital or health service to the
surrounding community. Directly, it can be felt by the company that they
have a good image in the eyes of public. As for things that are not
perceived directly are such as improving the living standards of the
healthy or the survival rate in the community area that will ultimately
have an impact on the ability of the brain or intelligence of children who
one day might be working in the company, so indirectly we grew the
superior intelligent children from CSR program.

Sustainable economy is the main purpose of the CSR. Because,

basically CSR will create a cycle of sustainable economic system between
the company and the community. As example of a cycle sutainable
economy, company will make CSR program in the form of greening,
education and health. Of greening, the company will fulfill the law of
company re-greening the lands they manage, then community will receive
a clean environment such as a good air. Moreover, if reforestation is used
by planting trees or vegetables, the community will get extra money and
create more new workers. Then if from education, the company will reap
the rewards when the children to whom they provide assistance had
grown and eligible to work in the company, so company do not need to
looking for people to work in his company, but can simply take from the
children once they has given the CSR education program, while benefits
for community is increasing standard of education quality which will make
their children become smarter. When they became adults, they have the
opportunity to improve economic quality of their family by working in the
company, working in other places or became a enterpreneur. If the
company create health CSR program, then this relates to education, if the
quality of health care improves, then the quality of human automatically
will also be increased, so the children is getting better. And health will
have an impact on sensitivity to environment, if a community is healthy
then the environment is certain to be maintained better and nor vice
versa if the quality of the environment community good health will also be
good. Then theese three points of CSR program are directly or indirectly
will create sustainable economic, and also creates a smart, independent
and healthy community.

CSR is not only a responsibility for company but also a must to make
a better condition for their surrounding community. It would be better to
help our community, intead of just to make more gain,. In fact, it will build
a cycle of sustainable economy.
