Drones Aren't Always Dangerous.

The terrorist group Al Qaeda just destroyed the twin towers in New York, and the

government wants to get the best technology advances to destroy the group, so what do they turn

to, funding the drone program. But as the government funds the drone program the question

comes up, are drones too dangerous. Drones arent always dangerous all the time because they

can be used for science, in the military, and for delivery purposes

Most people see weaponizing drones as a threat and think it is dangerous, but

weaponizing drones can be seen as a good thing. The military has been making drones that can

defend our troopers from danger saving more lives than before. One evidence is Although the

technology of "fully autonomous weapons" is highly speculative, the report says military

researchers are already moving beyond drones to develop weapons that select their own targets.

As an example of a deployed system with some autonomy, the authors cite the U.S. Navy's MK

15 Phalanx Close-In Weapons System, which can shoot down incoming missiles and aircraft

without oversight (Tuccille). This automated drone/ launching system can protect can protect

1000s of lives in a fleet. In addition it could be used to shoot down enemy missiles and planes

that can pose a threat to the USA itself. Some people may say that this is still a bad thing, but if

protecting more people is an option by creating drones then why cant we defend the trooper

with better weapons.

But weaponizing drones isnt the only upgrade that can be helpful, this is where scientists

have started to upgrade drones to help them in the fields. Drones can help with taking

temperature measurements and help find animals in the wild to research. The Cicada has been

equipped with sensors that send back weather readings for temperature, air pressure and

humidity (Lindsay). Drones can save money in doing research because it is cheaper to launch a

drone then to launch a plane, and or a rocket. It can also allow scientists to achieve more distance

and allows them to get more info than before, for example the scientic in Australia have started

to use drone to keep an eye on the wild life because it is saving them money.

Drones have also started to make an important role in civil lives as well. One of the many

are delivery drones. Drones can make the delivery faster than what its right now. Speaking

Rwanda would significantly reduce the cost incurred in the delivery of medical supplies as well

as improve accessibility to even the remotest parts of the country hardtop access by roads

(Mwai). Delivery doesnt just mean amazon and packages it also accounts for medical delivery

like organs and equipment. Drones have reduce the company's costs to deliver packages and the

time you receive them. Not only delivering medical equipment, but drones will also reduce the

time to 30 minutes or less according to the company Amazon, and will decrease the delivery cost

to about $1.

Drones arent always dangerous because they can be used in the military, the scientific

field, and in delivery service. When drones are dangerous though it's because it is because of

glitches or human error. But that is just a few things that even the other technology has, like

when a drone crashed into a plane headed to Heathrow airport in England. Drones have had

upgrades to make the more dangerous than what they were when they first came out. But drones

arent always dangerous unless used dangerously.
