E-Commerce Transactions:

Trust Among Pakistani Internet Users

Abstract
This survey was conducted regarding the Trust Among Pakistani Internet Users.
Questionnaire having twenty questions was developed and it had maximum options up to
seven. Questionnaire was distributed by the researcher himself to the persons of different
occupations which included businessmen, bankers, teachers, managers, students,
professionals and other job holders.those businessmen were surveyed who were directly
involved in the business related to e-commerce they include both sellers and buyers.

Hypothesis
E-commerce is not safe due to security

Methodology

The hypothesis was tested through results of survey. The instrument used in this survey
was questionnaire and the job holders were asked to fill in the questionnaire. Sample size
was 40 and results were interpreted according to the answers filed by the respondents.
Data was interpreted in terms of percentage.and the technique used in the questionnaire is
interval scale

The most focus on the research was on businessmen and managers and there % are 35%
and 30% respectively because the people of these fields mainly use E-commerce more
than the others

as the E commerce is spreading so many 3rd parties also giving surity and giving there
responsibility of truthworthness but mostly NO third party is involved so the chances of
risk also increases

RESULT

From the result of this research I conclude that most of the people don’t satisfy with the
internet shopping and they have many fears and uncertainty about the security measures
and they don’t relay on the security provided and the promises done by the E vendors
.Only few about 10 to 15% people relay on E-vendors and mostly it include the
businessmen community but they only relay on some specific E vendors from which they
only.they also don’t relay on every E vendor due to security risks .so the Hypothesis was
SUPPORTED that “E-COMMERCE IS NOT DUE TO SECURITY RISK” and 85% say
that they don’t trust E-commerce due to security risk
Summary
First of all I develop a questionnaire and most of the questions based on the interval scale
technique .40 sample size was taken and the basic research was on E-Commerce
Transaction Trust Among Pakistani Internet Users the main focus was on the trust that
either the people trust or not .the questionnaire was distributed among businessmen
,managers , students etc but the ratio of businessmen ands managers were high because
they mainly use E commerce .some of the students n M Phill students were also requested
because they use to purchase many articals which help them in studies so they were also
covered .
In this research there were mainly 2 variables
1)Dependent
2)Independent
the dependent variable was E commerce
and
the independent variable was security

from the result of this research I conclude that most of the people don’t satisfy with the
internet shopping and they have many fears and uncertainty about the security measures
and they don’t relay on the security provided and the promises done by the E vendors
.only few about 10 to 15% people relay on E-vendors and mostly it include the
businessmen community but they only relay on some specific E vendors from which they
only.they also don’t relay on every E vendor due to security risks .so the Hypothesis was
SUPPORTED that “E-COMMERCE IS NOT DUE TO SECURITY RISK”
