7.
The Curriculum

Program participants study an integrated curriculum, drawing on the full range of functional areas
of business and stressing the development of analytical skills. The emphasis is on strategic
decision-making, particularly as decisions are influenced by the global setting of business and are
supported by the extensive use of case studies from around the world.

We live in an increasingly complex and dynamic world in which business issues intersect with many
other social, cultural and environmental as well as business systems. In addition we are entering a
new multi-polar world in which traditional Anglo-saxon approaches to business, found in North
America, confront other approaches to business and capitalism and the role of business in society.
We see the emergence of a strong European model, as well as new models of business in China, India
and Latin America. No one model is better than the other they all exist and need to be understood
by global managers. Understanding these developments and their consequences is a significant
challenge to managers.

The curriculum and approach of the IMM is constantly being developed to reflect these new
concerns. In addition to the disciplines and functional areas traditional to management that have
been taught as a cornerstone of the IMM, we strive to provide insight and experience of the world's
major economic and cultural regions, such as North-America, Latin-America, Europe and Asia.

This is exactly why the IMM offers a schedule that enables participants to fit their studies with their
busy day-to-day work and private lives.

The IMM attracts high energy, forward thinking and experienced professionals who share the IMM
commitment to excellence. Your peers are fully engaged and highly motivated professionals who
are looking to shape and influence rather than only follow the new business models that are
emerging across all business and industry sectors. They strive to achieve the highest levels of
competence and are committed to the IMM goals and objectives. In brief, IMM participants are
preparing to assume the mantle of leadership in their organizations and/or to assume expanded
challenges within new organizations that recognize the value of the IMM degree.

The high academic standards of the IMM requires that participants have a proven professional track
record, have earned at least 5 years of managerial experience and are committed to excellence in
further developing managerial skills, with a particular focus on competing in the global economy.

The Structure

The IMM Executive MBA Program is divided into five 16-week

instructional modules spanning approximately 22 months. In total
the modules provide 48 hours of graduate course credit satisfying
accreditation standards. The IMM is a 'cohort' program: all students
in each class enter together, take a common set of courses in
sequence together, and graduate together. Combining distance
and on-site learning, IMM participants meet for six concentrated
two-week residential sessions at the partner schools' campuses, a
residency in Beijing and Shanghai, and Mexico City as well.

Using contemporary technologies, the residencies and distance

learning phases are integrated, incorporating online lectures and
online conferencing into the distance learning phases. IMM studies
begin each year in March.

This immersive experience enables IMM students to learn first hand

about different parts of the world, with a special focus on regional
business cultures and specific economic environments. Guest
speakers are selected with great care. These are individuals of
stature and accomplishment who provide genuine insights and
guidance about doing business in each region of the world.

Because the residency locations cover different economic environments (developing as well as developed countries),
IMM students are able to compare and contrast different business approaches. This learning approach goes beyond
traditional macro-economic analysis by allowing students to touch those who are actually doing business in these
countries.

The Structure

As your IMM study group remains together throughout the duration of the
program, you will quickly establish friendships and contacts that will last
over your entire professional career. These friendships among your IMM
peers, combined with the quality faculty and high level guest speakers
provide an extensive professional network so essential in todays
challenging economic times.

Some examples of the residency activities include:

Fees and Cost

Tuition fees for the IMM are established jointly by the cooperating schools for each entering class. Tuition payments cover instructional services,
institutional costs, books and other course materials, lodging and most meals during the residential sessions. Travel to the residency sessions and
the necessary personal computer, however, are the participant's responsibility.

Total Tuition Fee: 52,500 (75,000 USD)

Corporate Sponsorship
Increasingly, corporations around the world are recognizing the value of investing in their executive talent through corporate sponsorship that helps
offset the costs borne by the IMM participant. By sponsoring high-potential individuals to the IMM Program, a company or organization gains a
cost-effective means of educating, developing, rewarding and retaining managerial talent. These individuals develop analytical skills and an
understanding of management concepts that immediately contribute to the organization's competitive strengths. The exchange of experiences and
ideas they encounter through exposure to the varied industries brings fresh perspectives into the sponsoring organization. Check with your
organization to determine if they offer or are interested in an IMM corporate sponsorship.
