My name is Alexis. Im a 16 year old 11th grade student at Central
Coast New Tech High. Ive been described by friends as the artistic strange
one who spends large amount of time on her computer and analyzing other
people.

I have lived in Pismo Beach my entire life. Ive never moved. I could
probably become blind right now and not have a problem with smacking
into the wall as I turn a corner in my house. Pismo Beach is always foggy
and the name literally translates into Tar Beach, but I love it anyways. In
my family there is my Mom, and three dogs. Of my dogs there are Two
small Maltizus named Rainbow and Max, and a german shepherd boxer
mix named Kenzie. I went to Shell Beach Elementary from kindergarten to
sixth grade, and then went on to Judkins for seventh and eighth. When we
took the color, or learning style test near the beginning of the year, I came
out as blue. The blue type characteristics explained that I am basically the
Peacekeeper of a group. Blues care about the needs of others, seek
harmony between group members, and are team builders as well a team
players.

When I was around six years old, I began taking horseback riding
lessons. By that age I had already tried to play soccer and softball, but I
hadnt been a fan of either of them. Actually, I despised them both. So, I
took up horseback riding and competitive horse showing as my sport
instead. Ive been riding for about eight years now and I honestly couldn't
think of a better way to spend my time. Aside from riding horses, I love to
draw. I usually draw digitally. People often have a hard time understanding
that a drawing tablet isnt anywhere near the same as the kind of tablet that
most of you use. It is a device that is connected to your computer. In times
of stress I always resort to art to relieve my tension. My art is the reason I
spend too much time on my computer.

In the future Id like to finish high school with impressive grades, and
go onto college.
To make my goals and dreams into my reality I plan to get as best
grades as I can manage, and go to a good college. I am not yet sure of which
college, but I do know that I want to get into either animal behaviour, or
counseling psychology. As of now, if I had a choice of where Id like to move
to in the future, Id have to say Kauai. Id also like to improve my drawing
skill and style. The one and only way to achieve this would be time, and
practice, practice, practice!

I feel that my strengths are time management, my written

communication, and my ability to accept responsibility. My weaknesses
would certainly be my leadership skills, and my daydreaming habit.

To make my goals and dreams a reality I plan to get as much out of

school as I can, and go to a good college. I have been researching the career
requirements and colleges online, and Ive been looking forward to taking a
psychology course through Cuesta College this summer.
