EXAM 1: CWE I.B.P.S. (P.O.)

Exam Summary

PO (Probationary Officer) is the title used to designate a would-be


officer, somebody on training at Indian Bank, until they get a
permanent commission as Manager. IBPS PO Exam is the annual
online entrance test which singles out candidates for this training.
IBPS steers the PO recruitment with the consent from a
consortium of 22 Govt Banks.

Education Qualification Under IBPS PO Recruitment Eligibility


Criteria 2016, Candidates must have completed their Graduation
Degree from any recognized university or institution. Participants
also required their mark sheet numbers while they submit IBPS PO
online form.

i) Reasoning- This section will have question on following

Verbal reasoning: Alphabet test, Mathematical operations
test, Series test, Analogy. Odd Man out, Classification,
Syllogism, Coding-decoding, Blood relations. Number,
ranking and time sequence, Causes and effects, Analytic
reasoning, Direction sense test. Sitting arrangement,
Decision making, Input output, Puzzle, Statement and
conclusions. Statement and assumptions, Statement and
arguments, Statement and actions courses. Passage and
conclusions, Assertion and reasoning, Figure Series, Word
formation, Series.
ii) Quantitative Aptitude:
Topics are - Number system, HCF & LCM, Number series,
Problems based on numbers. Approximation Wrong
Number, Decimal fractions, Square root and cube root,
Simplifications. [Partnerships, Percentage, Ratio and
proportions, Average & Ages Ratio Proportion]. [Profit and
loss, Simple interest and compound interest]: [Time and
work, Time and distance, Mensuration]: Permutation and
combination, Probability, Data Interpretation: Pie charts,
Bar graphs, Line graphs, Mixed graphs
iii) English:
Topics of this section are - Spotting the errors, Phrase
substitution, ordering of sentences or jumbled up
sentences. Double blanks in a sentence, Fill in the blanks.
Cloze Test, Idioms & Phrases, Choosing the
appropriate filler. Synonyms and antonyms,
Reconstruction of sentence & passage. One-word
substitution, Commonly misspelled words,
Comprehensions.
iv) General awareness:
Banking Terms, Current Rates (Bank rate, Repo Rate,
Reverse repo rate etc.), Abbreviations / full forms,
Important days / dates, Currency and capital, Ministers
and their departments, Indian Economy, International
Economy, Questions related to International Financial
Institutions (World bank, IMF, UN, ADB related - Members,
recent development, functions), Finance, Shares, Various
schemes of Government (MNREGA, Swabhiman,
Swavlamban, Bharat Nirman etc.), Books & Their Authors,

EXAM 2: CWE I.B.P.S. CLERK

Exam Summary

Assistant or clerk is a widely known, and entry- level position in


Banks and related organizations in India. Bank Clerk is now one of
the most sought- after career paths for Indian youth. Since all the
public sector banks now use IBPS Recruitment for clerk selection,
applying for IBPS Clerk exam is deemed as the foremost step to
get a clerical job in the banking industry.

Computer paper is covers two section hardware & software.


Although participants must have basic knowledge of
computer, must have skill to operate a computer as office
purpose known about MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, MS
Power Point, Windows, and internet
Exam 3: IBPS SO (Special officer)

Exam Summary

Indian Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) invites applicants to


apply for various posts of Special Officers required for various
participatory organizations and nationalized banks. Those
candidates who are eligible for the posts can apply for the job
opportunity for which they need to undergo a written test
organized by IBPS.

Posts Covered under IBPS SO are

I.T. Officer (Scale-I), Agricultural Field Officer (Scale-I),


RajbhashaAdhikari (Scale-I), Law Officer (Scale-I), HR/ Personnel
Officer (Scale-I), Marketing Officer (Scale-I) Posts.

Eligibility

Nationality:

Candidates, intending to apply should ensure that they fulfill the


minimum eligibility criteria specified by IBPS Nationality /
Citizenship:
A candidate must be either -
1. a Citizen of India or
2. a subject of Nepal or
3. a subject of Bhutan or
4. a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1 st January
1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or a
person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma,
Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United
Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar),
Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention
of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate
belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) &(v) above shall be a
person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued
by the Government of India.

Officer (AAO) Vacancies.

Penalty for Wrong Answers:


i. There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked in the
Objective Tests. For each question for which a wrong answer has
been given by the candidate, one fourth (1/4) of the marks
assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty to arrive at
corrected score. If a question is left blank, i.e. no answer is
marked by the candidate; there will be no penalty for that
question.
ii. Candidate must pass in each paper separately and also obtain
minimum marks in the aggregate of the two papers to qualify for
the interview. The minimum marks to be obtained in each paper
and in the aggregate shall be decided by LIC of India.
iii. The marks obtained by the candidate in each paper and in the
aggregate shall be arrived at after deduction of the marks for
wrong answers.
iv. Appearing in the online examination or mere pass in the online
examination shall not vest any right in a candidate to be called for
Personal Interview.

Exam 2: ADO (Apprentice Development Officers)


Exam Summary

Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is the largest Life


Insurance Company in India having 2048 Branches and 109
Divisional Offices. LIC recruits Apprentice Development Officers in
the jurisdiction of the various Divisional Offices under nine
different Zones.

Eligibility

Nationality: The candidate should be an Indian Citizen.

Council for Technical Education or a recognized Institution.

Note: Recognized Institution means such Institution as may be


recognized by any State Government or the Central Government.

Note:
1. The recruitment as Apprentice Development Officers is for
Urban and Rural Areas and the selected candidates will have
to work in these areas.
2. The Candidates shall be ranked in the order of the aggregate
of their marks in the online test and the interview and
selection shall be made from among them in the order of their
merit having regard to the number of Apprentice Development
Officers proposed to be recruited.
