COLORS & QUALITY

All files must be built in CMYK unless White Ink has been requested.
All images used must be 300 dpi or greater to achieve the best print results.

BLEEDS If you would like for your artwork to print to the edge of the
paper then you must include a 1/8th inch bleed around your artwork. This
means a 2 x 3.5 business card would need to be 2.25 x 3.75 for print,
with the desired artwork within the 2 x 3.5 range.
> In Illustrator and InDesign, please define the bleed settings of a document
when creating it. When saving a .PDF please check Use Document Bleed
Settings under the Marks and Bleeds section of the .PDF dialogue box.
> It is not necessary to include trim marks, registration marks, color bars,
page information or any other printers marks when exporting a .PDF from
Illustrator or InDesign.
Please see page 4 for a visual on bleeds.

IMPOSITION
Imposing a file means to arrange the printed products pages on the
printing sheet. It is not necessary to do this - our pre-press department
applies the correct imposition to each piece of artwork.

SENDING FILES
Print-ready files should be sent to service@moxyox.com. The maximum file
size we can receive via email is 25mb - should your file size exceed this,
please send us a disc or share a Dropbox folder with us.

Printing in CMYK is what we do.

Even though they may look good on-screen
when designing, fonts can get muddled
the smaller they are printed in CMYK.

DONT FORGET

We understand theres a lot to remember when

printing. But, dont worry. Here are a few simple
reminders to help you to set up the perfect file.

Save documents with .125 bleed all the way around.

Save documents in CMYK.

Outline all fonts.

Make sure the total number of pages in the document is a multiple of 4

when designing a book to be saddle-stitched. These particular books print
with 2 pages right next to each other, front and back. Take a look at this
book to help get a visual.

Move the content to the left or right about .25 to .5 when designing a
book to be spiral bound. This ensures no artwork is covered or punched
out in production. Which direction the content is to be moved will depend
on which side the spiral will be on.

Call Moxy Ox with any questions. Were always here to help.
