Before installing Component Library

Check the environment in which you are using ADS.

OS : Windows NT, 2000, XP, Vista
ADS : 2002C or later

If a previous version of Taiyo Yuden Component Library for ADS is

currently installed on your computer, follow the instructions below
according to the version of installed Library.

Ver1.1 to 1.6 : Follow the instructions on page 4 to 6 to install the new

Library.

Ver1.0 : You must delete it following "How to delete Taiyo Yuden

Component Library for ADS Ver1.0" on page 10 to 12 before installing the
new Library.

 How to install Component Library
Step1. Unzip AG_TY**.zip

Step2. Copy the unzipped files into the directory where ADS is installed (<ADS>).
* Delete the folder <ADS>\TAIYO_LIBRARY if it already exists, before installing current version
of the Library.

Step3. Open AG_TY**/libpass.txt with a text editor (e.g. notepad) and copy all text
lines described in this file.

Step4. Open <ADS>/circuit/config/ADSlibconfig with a text editor and add the contents
of the clipboard to the last line of ADSlibconfig.
Now you have completed the installation of Taiyo Yuden Library.

 How to use Component Library
Step1. Click on the menu bar (or Insert>Component>Component Library) to
open ADS component library window.

Step2. There are categories of TAIYO_YUDEN Equivalent Circuit *1 and

TAIYO_YUDEN S-parameter *2 in Libraries. Drag the desired component
and place it on your schematic.

How to use Component Library
Step3. Double click on a component in the schematic to display a dialogue box of
the component information.
On this box, you can choose an element, see the specification, and configure
an optimisation. (see next page for details of optimisation)

On this box, you can configure discrete optimize.

1) Select [Discrete optimize]

in Parameter Entry Mode
2) Set the initial value

Step1. Delete TAIYO_LIBRARY folder under Agilent ADS directory(<ADS>) .

Step2. Delete the following files in <ADS>/custom/circuit/records.

* M_Inductor_sp.rec
