(One-Way Traffic) Order, 1968
The Minister of Transport has made an Order under
section 1(1) (2) and (3) of the Road Traffic Regula-
tion Act 1967 the effect of which is: No person shall
cause any vehicle to proceed in any of the lengths of
the London-Great Yarmouth Trunk Road (A. 12)
specified in column 1 of the Schedule to this Notice
in a direction other than that specified in relation
to that length of road in column 2 of the said
Schedule.

The Trunk Road (Gloucester Road, Patchway,
Gloucestershire) (Prohibition of Driving) Order,
1968
The Minister of Transport has made an Order under
section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1967
the effect of which is to impose the following restric-
tions on that length of the ExeterLeeds Trunk
Road (A.38) known as Gloucester Road in the Parish
of Patchway in the Rural District of Thornbury:
(a) no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed
in the short length of slip road which'lies east
of the eastern main carriageway at a point
76 yards south of its junction with the Patchway
roundabout and connects the said carriageway
with the service road to the east; and
(b) no person shall cause any vehicle proceeding
northwards in the western main carriageway to
make a right-hand turn into the short length
of slip road which connects the eastern and
western main carriageways at a point 77 yards
south of the junction of the western carriageway
with the Patchway roundabout.

The Trunk Road (Various Roads, Ashton-in-
Makerfield) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order 1968
The Minister of Transport has made an Order under
sections 1 and 3 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1967 the effect of which is to:
1. revoke the Trunk Road (Bryn Street, Ashton-
in-Makerfield) (Prohibition of Waiting) Order
1963 ;
2. prohibit any person from causing or permitting
any vehicle to wait between the hours of 8 a.m.
and 6 p.m. in the length of road specified in
Schedule 1 to this notice;
3. prohibit any person from causing or permitting
any vehicle to wait between the hours of 9 a.m.
and 6 p.m. in the length of road specified in
Schedule 2 to this notice ; and
4. prohibit any person from causing or permitting
any vehicle to wait in either of the lengths of
road specified in Schedule 3 to' this notice.
Exceptions have been provided in the Order to
enable a vehicle to wait for so long as may be
necessary for a person to board or alight from the
vehicle, to enable goods to be loaded on to or un-
loaded from the vehicle, or to enable the vehicle to be
used in connection with any building operation or
demolition, the removal of any obstruction to traffic,

the maintenance of the road or the services therein.

District of Ashton-in-Makerfield, which extends from
its junction with Rpseberry Road to a point 143 yards
north of its junction with Bryn Road.

1. That length of the WinchesterPreston Trunk
Road (A.49), known in part as Warrington Road and
in part as Bryn Street in the Urban District of
Ashton-in-Makerfield, which extends from a point
57 yards south of its junction with Liverpool Road
to a point 57 yards north of its junction with Gerard
Street.
2. That length of the WinchesterPreston Trunk
Road (A.49), known in part as Bryn Street and in
part as Wigan Road in the Urban District of Ashton-
in-Makerfield which extends from a point 33 yards
north of its junction with Millingford Grove to a
point 175 yards south of its junction with Queen's
Road.
The Trunk Road (Estcourt Road, Gloucester)
(Prohibition of Cycling) Order', 1968
The Minister of Transport has made an Order
under section 1 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act
1967 the effect of which is that no person shall
ride or cause or permit to be ridden any pedal
bicycle or tricycle or any moped on the footbridge
or approach ramps thereto which extends over that
length of the London-Fishguard Trunk Road (A.40)
known as Estcourt Road in the County Borough of
Gloucester.

HIGHWAYS ACT 1959
The M.18 Motorway (Thorne Section) Scheme 1968
The Minister of Transport hereby gives notice that he
has made with modifications a Scheme under section
11 of the above Act, the effect of which is to
authorise the Minister:
(a) to provide, for ithe exclusive use of the traffic
of Classes I and II set out in Schedule 4 to
the said Act as amended by the Special Roads
(Classes of Traffic) Order 1961:
(i) a special road, as a further section of the
M.18 motorway, from a point near Firth Fields
to the north-east of Haitfield, proceeding generally
northwards for about 2\ miles, and ending at a
point at Waterside to the west of Thorne;
(ii) a special road starting from a point on
the Sheffield-Grimsby Trunk Road (A. 18) as
proposed to be improved, near Tudworth Hall
Corner, and proceeding westwards for about a
mile to form a roundabout over the above-
mentioned special road at North Ings ;
(iii) six special roads to connect the special
road referred to in paragraph (i) above with the
special road referred to in paragraph (ii) above,
at North Ings, and with the Widmerpool-
Howden Trunk Road (A.614) at Waterside,
all in the West Riding of Yorkshire;
(b) to construct as part of the special road referred
to in paragraph (i) above a bridge over the
navigable waters of the Stainforth and Keadby
Canal,
(c) to provide for all the above-mentioned special
roads to become trunk roads when the Scheme
comes into operation.
