Clearing and straightening rooms for next patient, calling patients back, taking
vitals, escorting patient to room and getting medical history and chief complaints.
Entering in the computer and be on standby to assist the physician. Run labs for
pregnancies and influenza, and strep throat. And preparing the specimen for the
right lab.

Front desk help, answering phones, scheduling appointments, escorting patients
to the rooms, preparing the rooms, taking chief complaints and past medical
history, Billing, verifying insurance claims, verifying payments, entering payments

5/2000 Present Emergency Department Technician
My duties include responding to emergency calls within the hospital and
transporting patients to the emergency room for further medical care.
Assisted physicians with minor medical procedures including, sedating
patients (when needed), CPR, defibrillation, IV start, fluid boluses, nasal
gastric tube placement, and orthopedic procedures. I am responsible for
taking vital signs, placing patients on monitors and charting their progress,
inserted Foley catheters. I am trained to do assist in lumbar punctures, and
placing central lines. I also inform patients family and friends of their love
ones status.
Ambulatory Care Clinic
In the ambulatory care clinic, I also assisted the physicians with procedures
in sterile tray set-ups including OBGYN tray set-ups and I&D procedures. I
have performed and set-up eye, ear, and wound irrigation, eye chart
readings, wound check, and splinting. I also have experience with staple
and suture removal and irrigation. IM and subcutaneous injections, ACLS,
and other medical services.

My duties included basic patient care, invasive and non-invasive
procedures, monitoring vital signs and heart monitoring, emergent and
medical response, admitting/discharging and documentation.
