PROJECTS

Hand Gesture Recognition through Soft Computing Methods

The project aims at recognizing static hand gestures captured through webcam. Around 100 images were captured and trained by different
models. The images taken were colored RGB images of human hand which were converted into HSV format and then into binary images.
These binary images were classified via variety of methods namely SVM, Decision Tree and K-Nearest Neighbour Classifier in MATLAB.
Accuracies of 96% (SVM), 98% (KNN Classifier) and 82% (Decision Tree Classifier) were obtained on 50 test images.

Image Contrast Enhancement

Using the concepts of Fuzzy Logic, the target of this project is to enhance the contrast of random images through Mamdani Fuzzy Model in
MATLAB.
