ABSTRACT
Situation monitoring means, it is an upholding process for monitoring. The explicit parameter
like over current, speed, vibration, temperature, emanation for early finding of impending failure
and require to maintenance previous to failure or to guesstimate the machine vigor. It is technique
that serves for situation based safeguarding. In stipulation based maintenance provide the current
status of machine and indicate clearly where and what type of maintenance is essential so that it be
able to reduce manpower consumption, optimal utilize of machine parts and will assurance that
crashes will not transpire suddenly.
Key words: Mobile control system-GSM monitoring, potential transformer, current transformer,
electric drive, induction motor, activity control system.

1. INTRODUCTION
In viw of th fact that tchnology for activity control of lctric driv bfall availabl.Th crash of motor
provs to b vry xpnsiv as it increases down time on the machines. So it befalls ssntial to swll som
cost capabl and stad fast stipulation monitoring systm for th fortification of motors to shunun xpctd
crashs. Stipulation monitoring techniques b able to b classifid into two categories: Firstly th classical
mthod and scondly th digital mthod. In classical mthod, lctromchanical tools ar xpnsiv, lss
fficint, having vry slow response and not rliabl as som of th tools hav vn shortr lif than th
motor itslf.
Th digital mthod is th nwst mthod for th stipulation monitoring and it involvs intgratd
circuit, microcontrollrs, microprocssors and programmabl logic controllrs. Thr ar numrous factors
which giv to burning of motors and som of th mar thermal ovr loading, du to objction abl strss,
air gap cntricity, spd oscillations, stator winding failure, Brokn rotor bars, baring failur and
drangd voltags. According to aassssmnt th prcntag crash of th faults is as follows:

Baring rlatd Motor faults 41%

Stator rlatd Motor faults 37%
Rotor rlatd Motor faults 10%
Additional faults 12%
This documnt provids a snsor-lss mthod to widn stipulation monitoring systm for th ovr
currnt, ovr voltag, spd, tmpratur via microcontrollr. Th anticipatd systm has th capability to
dtct faults at th tim of working motor. This systm ndlssly monitord th status of motor on mobil
scrn. Th anticipatd systm could b applid to AC motors of all sizs, particularly in svr
nvironmnt stipulation whr accss to motor is not ffort lss.

2. MTHODOLOGY
In this work th systm consist of a 3 phas AC induction motor. Th systm has currnt and voltag
transformr attach to th supply which is fd with powr switching circuit shown in Fig. 1. Th switching
circuit is linking with thr phas supply with a thr phas AC motor. Th currnt and voltag transformr
giv dfns of switching circuit or th control panl form th uncharactristic currnt and voltag.
Th intrfacing tool intrfacd or conncts with control panl systm and givs th stipulation for
control th motor. Th drivr circuit also connct to th microcontrollr for th rason that all paramtr
control by th microcontrollr. Drivr circuit b abl to utiliz for motor and th rlay which giv th
signal to th thr phas contactor tool for ithr on or off th stipulation. All th systm is digitally so that
w asily undrstand what th procss is going on. Th complt procss shows in th diagram in Fig.1.

Figure 1 Diagram of th CM systm

For voltag and currnt masurmnt a voltag and currnt transformr utilizd.Th supply currnt and
voltag that has to monitor is stp down by th currnt transformr and voltag transformr. Th stp down
currnt is transformd by voltag with th hlp of shunt rgistr in currnt transformr. W ar using 0 to 6
volt potntial transformr. Th stp down voltag is rctifid by meticulousness rctifir. Th xactitud
rctifir is aarrangmnt obtaind with an st amplifir IC 741 in ordr to hav a circuit bhaving lik an
idal diod or rctifir.

Tmpratur is big issu for burning of induction motor, consequently wutilizd LM35 snsor for
masurmnt of tmpratur. Th LM35 is anxactitud intgratd-circuit tmpratur tool with an output
voltag linarly comparativ to th Cntigrad tmpratur. It is a dfind tmpratur snsor which has 3
main connctors. VCC, GND and OUTPUT. Th first and scond ar fixd valu of circuit and th third is
output provid th voltag is proportional to th tmpratur. Its Rang from 55C to 150C .
For spd masurmn tth Proximity snsor (Inductiv Typ) utilizd, this snsor is kpt nar or in
front of th shaft. This tools which gnrats output signal or lctrical signal whn mtal objcts ar ithr
insid or ntring into its snsing ara from any dirction.
All th statistics ar composd in analogu form of voltag signal, and thn folksvoltags ar stppd
up corrctly by stp up transformr. Folks stppd up analogu voltag signal ar convrtd to d.c voltag
by using rctifir. Folks analogu voltags ar givn to th analogu to digital convrtr. Consquntly th
PIC Microcontrollr IC which w utilizd is ATMGA16 .It is 40 Pin IC. Microcontrollr rcivs signal
from various monitoring unit of Induction motor. Th statistics collctd from th motor ar displayd in
Liquid Crystal Display (LCD).

3. RSULTS AND DISCUSSIONS

Our projct proposd a stipulation monitoring and fault diagnostic systm with microcontrollr or
procssor which will control and protction th motor in asy way. Dsign a systm without complxity
and which babl tobasilyhandld. This tool is so that rduc th burning rat of motor and
sav/consrv th nrgy. This papr is basd on ongoing projct whos tsting is yt to b don.
Consquntly authntic rsults hav not bn accssibl. Th systm is likly to monitor th paramtrs of
induction motor and snd mssag on mobil phon whn th valus of folks paramtrs crosss th
limitations pr arrangd in programming of microcontrollr. Consquntly, prvntativ action is abl to
b takn for protction of motor bfor dfinit fault occurs in th systm.

4. CONCLUSIONS
This rsarchabl to produc nw non-intrusiv mthod basd on th microcontrollr for th diagnosis of
faults rlatd to ovr currnt, ovr voltag, spd, tmpratur of AC motors. This systm aims to provid
a rliabl protction to AC motors against unxpctd crashs. Thus th systm facilitats suprvision for
dfnsiv maintnanc and prognostic failur analysis.
