At the end of the lesson, the learners must be able to:
a. Illustrate area as a measure of how much surface is covered occupied by
plane figure.

II. Transfer Goal


At the end of the lesson, the learners are expected to:
a. Identify the plane figures in surrounding and measure the surface needed to
cover the object.

Motivation
The teacher will show the different type of shapes including square,
rectangle, triangle, trapezoid.

B. Instruction
Learning Activity 1: Lecture Discussion

The teacher will discuss about the surface covered to occupy the plane figure.

Surface it is the face of the plane figure.


Length and Width it is the side of the plane figure.
Area it is the surface covered to occupy the plane figure. It is also the
product of the length and the width.

Learning Activity 2: Think- Write- Pair- Share Activity

The teacher will choose an object and the students will measure length and
the width of the object.

Activity 1: List down 5 objects that is an example of a plane figure inside the
classroom.

The teacher will ask the learners to give insights about the lesson learned.
