FAITH TRIUMPHS OVER LOGIC

By Pastor Cesar Castellanos,
Declarations of Power for 365 Days of the Year

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God,
but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God. (Romans
4:20)

There are moments that come when our faith is tested. It is when
we have a choice to look at the circumstances or to place our eyes on
the Lord. A man almost one hundred years of age and his wife of ninety
years of age, rested only on the promise from the Lord of having a
child. They both made the decision to declare with a loud voice what
they have been promised. Sara always called her husband a father of
multitudes, and Abraham would call Sara, princess. With this attitude
they decided to fix their eyes on the promise, without giving
importance to what the people in the neighborhood were saying about
the matter. It was not easy for them to reach that level of faith. From
the moment that the Lord had given the promise that they would have
a son, twenty-four years had already passed. They came to think that it
would happen by means of the union between Abraham with one of his
servants, but the situation with Hagar was one of the greatest errors of
their lives. Nevertheless, the substance of faith came, they believed
God, they declared it with all of the strengths of their souls and, a few
months later, Sara had the son of the promise in her arms.

The way that Abraham overcame doubt was by nourishing his life
of faith. In that time they did not have a Bible. The only thing that
sustained them during all those years was the words that the Lord had
given them on the day of their calling. Abraham understood that the
Word of God is eternal. When the Lord gives a promise, He does not
change His mind or corrects what He said. Once the Word came out of
His mouth, it must be accomplished above any circumstance.
Confessing the promise continually gave him inner strength that
helped him overcome any doubt or fear. Also, he did not stop
worshiping God and glorifying Him for the blessing of the son that he
would have in the future.

SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT

In the year 2005 I was pregnant with my second daughter

Natalia. These are the words of Alexandra Ramos, who is part of the

team of leaders in the church of Miami. When I went for the three
month checkup, the doctor detected something wrong with my baby.
The head of the baby was bigger than normal. In that moment I
experienced the greatest battle of faith. I found myself with two
options; to believe in the promises of God, or the statements of the
doctors who diagnosed that my daughter would be born with Down
syndrome. When I received the news but the only thing I did was to
cling completely to God. I started to attend all the church services, the
cell group, and the intercessions. At seven months of pregnancy they
admitted me into the hospital to do an amniocentesis, which is a
puncture of the amnion. This is the way to study the reason of the
deformity. I remember asking the doctor to do another sonogram,
because I knew that my daughter was healed. When she examined me,
she called the nurse and told her that there was an error, and that my
baby was completely normal. It was in that moment that my husband
surrendered his life completely to God, and through that miracle we
entered into another level of faith. God is faithful and He always fulfills
all His promise.

PRAYER

Beloved God, thank You for guiding me in the way of faith,

because in every circumstance that I have lived, I learned to always
lean on You. Thank You because even in the smallest things that You
have taught me so much. I have seen Your hand in a permanent way. I
love You Lord. Amen.

DECLARATION

I strengthened my faith in the Biblical promise, and I worship

God with all of my strength and the miracle occurred.
