Strategic Planning Time Grant Project

Fox Creek Elementary

Purpose:
The strategic planning time grant (SPTG) funds will support our teaching staff with time to plan
instruction, analyze student achievement, and receive differentiated professional development.
The funding will be spent on substitute teachers who provide time for certified staff to invest in
efforts directly aligned with our work plan.

Planning Time Grant Overview:

All certified teachers will have full day substitute teachers to provide time for three different
elements:
1. team-based professional development
2. data team conferences
3. elementary progress report planning

Super Sub Team:

Each day of Planning Time Grant will use a team of 3 substitutes who will cover one team per
day:

Specials Staff (Art, Music, PE & Technology): 4 days

Each certified Specials team member will receive 4 sub days per year to be used at their
discretion.

Planning Time Grant Schedule: 6 days (4 days scheduled, 2 days at team discretion)
Each team will select the day that works best for them within the session window. They will have
the training room reserved for their day. Its the teams responsibility to schedule time with the
facilitators that will work with them on the focus of the day.
