Financial Managers
Manufacturing, communications, finance, education, or health care sectors employ
one or more financial managers. The positions are of treasurer, controller, credit
manager, cash manager, and others who are responsible for preparing financial
reports to meet tax and other regulatory demands.

How do I get there?

Class XII (Science/Commerce with Economics and Mathematics) can be


followed by a graduate honours degree in Economics. Many economics graduates
opt for MBA with specialisation in Finance or Masters in Finance Control.

Class XII (Commerce) can be followed graduation and preparation for


Chartered Accountancy simultaneously. Chartered Accountants may enhance their
qualification with a Certified Financial Analysts course.
For Entry level jobs in multinational banks, business houses, trading firms,
export houses, financial institutions the qualifications required are MBA Finance or
Masters in Finance Control or Chartered accountancy.

From the entry point or junior level positions they make their way to middle level
positions and then to senior positions over a period of approximately ten years.
