What is it?
Physics + Chemistry project to create and launch the rocket in order to
hit the target 20 meters away at the circle marked. Scores from 5 to 1,
respectively.
Objective

To find the best design for the rocket containing smallest balance
amount of chemicals that will bring the rocket into hitting the target 20
meters away according to physics concepts and ideas.
Materials

Rocket

Plastic bottle
Flute board
Cardboard
Plastic cork
Rubber stopper
Materials

Launcher

PVC pipes
PVC joints
(PVC cutter)
Materials
Others

Tissue paper (Thin) Baking soda

Scale Glue gun
Graduated cylinder Hot glue
Measuring Spoon Plasticine
Stapler
Vinegar
ROCKET
Awesome rocket that works??
Well, definitely gonna need a real good design
Nose cone shape Design

LAUNCHER
The rockets launches is another significant
factor for a great shot :D

Methods
1.
Prepare the rocket
and launcher
Adjust the angle and record conditions
2.
Scale vinegar and
baking soda
200 ml. Of vinegar & 15.5 g. Of baking soda
3.
Pour the vinegar
into the bottle
4.

Wrap the baking soda in

a piece of tissue
Staple the tissue so the baking soda stay there :)
5.

Put the wrapped tissue

into the bottle
Dont let it soak in vinegar!!!
6.

Cork tightly
7.

Flip the rocket and put it

on the launcher
Then record the result *O*!!!

AFTER SEVERALS TRIALS
We finally hit the target with
200 ml of vinegar + 15.5 g of baking soda
Chemical rubber stopper
Plastic cork at top of the nose
40 launcher
Evaluation

What went well What went wrong

Fins stable rocket Glue nose damaged by the vinegar
Plastic cork nose Hard and heavy Weight too light, cant resist the wind
enough Wine cork leak
Rubber stopper No leaking Ping pong nose ruined from landing
attack
Conclusion

Use fins to stabilize

Put some weight at the nose
Use stopper that wont leak
Hard nose is great for landing attack
Launch at the right angle
Be careful with the wind
