Romans 1:18-22 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and

unrighteousness of men, who suppresas the truth in unrighteousness; because what may be
known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For the invisible things of
him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made,
even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: Because that, when they
knew God, they glorified him not as God...Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools...
The Apostle Paul says that anyone is totally without excuse if, from the
creation, they do not recognize God's "eternal power and Godhead" and His
wrath revealed against unrighteousness. The Creation demonstrates the
Creator's wisdom and power. But how is His wrath made known to all people?

Wrath basically means heated anger. In regards to God, it is His response to

all that offends and violates the infinite glory of His holiness. So what does
Paul mean when he say the wrath of God is revealed against evil. He is not
just talking about the occasional historical times when God directly zapped
wicked nations, cities, or individual. Not every human being knows of these
events. But Paul is pointing to a manifestation of wrath that leaves every
human being without excuse if they fail to acknowledge God's existence,
power, righteousness and wrath against sin.

When Adam sinned the wrath of God was, in a not so limited degree, revealed
toward sin. Adam was slain spiritually and death corrupted his previously
perfect physical existence, and that of all his descendants (Gen 3; Rom
5:12) . The pristine perfection of God's creation became corrupted under the
curse of sin (Rom 819-22). All of this came forth by the active judicious
pronouncements of God upon sin - i.e. manifestations of His wrath. Ongoing
sickness and death, violence, the pain and suffering, catastrophic events of
nature - everything that is amiss in human existence - is the result of God's
wrath against the entrance of sin into His creation.

We live every day under the manifestation of God's wrath against sin. But
humans willfully suppress this, and all manifestations of the Divine Being. We
even use these manifestations of wrath to deny the existence of God, or,
when He is acknowledged, humans question His goodness and justice
because of their suffering. Instead of questioning why He should still show so
much kindness and mercy to a vile race, they accuse God of evil.

Now there are those who percieve that God is angry with the wicked every
day (Psalm 7:11), and they set about to pacify His anger through sacrifices of
religion and good works. It's like a murderer trying to exempt himself from
judgment because, though he killed someone yesterday, he showed kindness
to someone today. But there is One who has satisfied (propitiated) God's
wrath against sinners - Jesus Christ. On the cross all of God's righteous wrath
was poured out on Jesus in place of all who would believe on Him. Then He
rose from the dead conquering death. " Therefore he is able, once and forever, to
save those who come to God through him. He lives forever to intercede with God on their
behalf" (Heb 7:25).
The full demonstration of God's wrath is yet to be unleashed upon the world.
But for those in Christ, He "has delivered us from the wrath to come (1 Thess
1:10). "There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ
Jesus" (Rom 8:1 ).
