Commitment to Students and Student Learning developing as expected

Marnie has a strong commitment to student learning. She is always respectful and has taken the time to get
to know her students. She is very enthusiastic and it is obvious that she truly enjoys teaching. Her lessons
are student centered and she encourages involvement from all students. She is starting to incorporate
different lesson styles to accommodate different learning styles. She is encouraged to continue to have more
conversation in her lessons and to connect curriculum to student life.

Knowledge developing as expected

Marnie has a comprehensive knowledge of relevant curriculum. Her excellent time management and
preparation skills are allowing her to guide students through complex concepts. She aware of student
backgrounds and how it affects their learning. Marnie should continue to develop alternate ways of explaining
difficult concepts.

Teaching Practice developing as expected

Marnie has developed excellent time management skills. She is always on task and is very productive. She
is fully planned and prepared for all lessons in advance. She has a wonderful teaching demeanor; she is
very enthusiastic, positive and encouraging. Marnie should continue to ensure that students are on task and
focussed.

Professionalism developing as expected

Marnie is very professional in her conduct at all times. She is responsible, dependable, punctual, and has
developed positive relationships with both colleagues and students. She is a very positive role model for her
students.

Marnie has shown initiative, enthusiasm, and excellent leadership skills throughout her placement. She has
collaborated with her colleagues and is very open to both sharing and receiving new ideas and suggestions.
She has become very involved in the school community and spends several hours every day helping with
dance choreography for the school play.

Ongoing Professional Learning developing as expected

Marnie responds very well to constructive feedback and works to implement changes right away. She often
seeks opportunities to expand her knowledge base as well as her teaching practice.
