Remember to practice Spanish at home at least 15


minutes a night, whether or not you have homework.

This is a reminder that as stated in my syllabus, I do


not give credit for late work. Homework not turned in
at the beginning of class when it is due, will receive
49%. However, homework that was turned in on time
(and complete) may be redone for a better grade.
Tarea means homework. Examencito means
quiz.

lunes (Monday)

Yo puedo usar mi/mis, tu/tus, su/sus,


nuestro/s, nuestra/s.hw misunderstanding nietos
counts girls too= grandchildren or grandsons
hijos = kids (boys and girls) or sons
Entrega la tarea (p. 160, Act 3 & your pic with
your name on the back)
Look on page 162 to help you figure these
out, using new vocab:
1. Our grandma is a quiet person.
2. My younger brothers are mischievous.
3. His cousin is almost (casi) blind. She
wears glasses.

Tomorrows class will be from 11:00-11:40,
due to the 8th graders being on a field trip.
The 8th graders should eat quick and come
down by 11:20 for at least half of our class.
Tarea: p 162, Act 7. Write the answer and
the noun that comes after it and translate it to
English. Example, #1 mi libro = my book
(you chose my because it means I look for
my book.) And keep studying Our quiz on
the vocabulary will be on Thursday,
March 9. Practice using the vocabulary,
including vocabulary from the
exprsate boxes, page 158-159.
martes (Tuesday)
Class will be from 11-11:40 today so the 8 th graders
can eat quick and come to at least half of our class
today. (8 th graders need to be in class by 11:20, but
you may eat in class if you want to come as soon as
you grab your food)

here by 11:20.
Yo puedo usar adjectivos posesivos. Y puedo
escuchar y identificar familias.

Make up Spanish sentences for your
neighbor about one of the families
(Carolinas or Martas) and your
neighbor has to point to the family you
describe.

in your notebook:

Tarea: Study for Thursdays vocab quiz
Chapter 5 Vocabulario 1 (p. 158 and
159). Make sure you are practicing with
both of the vocabulary quizlets and that
you know all of that vocabulary.
Remember you will translate 5
sentences using the new vocabulary
from Spanish to English, same rubric as
usual.
Tomorrow we will practice on white
boards with ir and stem changing verbs.

vocabulario y practicar con verbos viejos y
nuevos.
Put up your privacy folders (carpetas de
privacidad)

Test rules:
No peeking, no talking, no moving while
anyone is taking a test.

Stem-changing verbs:

compare we endings for er and ir:
tener vs venir; dormir vs volver
for hw what 4 answers could #1 be, just from
the pronoun?
Tarea: p. 164 Act 11, figure out the pronoun
for each and write it with the verb,
Make sure you know what they all mean.
Remember to practice your verbs extra
tomorrow as there is no class due to the half
day. I added the verbs we learned today as
well as some extras for this chapter.

There isnt Spanish; its a half day.
Remember to spend extra time
practicing your verbs, use all the
quizlets for chapter 4 on conjugating
and using verbs and chapter 5 (I added
new ones).
