MECHANICS/GUIDELINES:

A. BIBLE GAMES
BIBLE DRILL:
1 contestant in every district

BIBLE QUIZ:
1. The scope of the bible quiz covers: Leviticus and Mark.

2. Four contestants in every District.

3. There are four (4) rounds in this category namely: Easy, Average, Difficult and Clincher.

4. In Easy round (10) questions will be asked, (5) in Average Round, (5) for Difficult round and
in case of a tie, tie breaker questions will be given until the tie is broken in the Clincher round.

5. Points are assigned for each question in every round.
Easy questions 1 pt. each
Average questions 3 pts. each
Difficult questions 5 pts. each
Clincher questions 7 pts. each

6. Each team will answer the same questions. The quiz master will read the questions twice only.
Contestants will only answer after the quiz master says go.

7. Each team is given the following time in order to answer the questions: 10 seconds per
question (Easy round), 15 seconds per question (Average round), 20 seconds per question
(Difficult round), and 15 second per question (Clincher round). The contestants will
automatically stop writing and raise their flashcards after the buzzer sounds. All final answers
must be written on a cartolina sheet in BOLD letters.

8. The judges reserve the right to judge an answer as wrong if it is deemed undecipherable and
vague.

9. The decisions of the Board of Judges is final and irrevocable.

Note: Contestants should wear their T-shirt uniform and ID.

SPEECH CHOIR COMPETITION


Verse of the contest piece: I Corinthians 13: 1- 13
1. There shall be one (1) contest piece.
2. The number of contestants shall not be less than 15 members.
3. Costumes and props are allowed
4. The criteria for judging are as follows:
Interpretation (manner in which the piece is internalized & presented) 30%
Delivery (quality of voice, fluency, pronunciation, blending & harmony) 30%
Stage Presence (stage poise, eye contact & audience impact) 10 %
Costume & Sound Effects (attire is related to concept, sound production) 10%
Mastery of Piece 20%

BATTLE OF THE BANDS


All bands must contain a minimum of three (3) members; or full band (drums,
guitar, bass guitar and keyboards)
There will be a strict time limit of 10 minutes for each band on stage.
Please plan your songs accordingly. You may have one long song and one short
song but no more than 10 minutes is allowed for both songs.

*prior to the performance, each band must provide hard copy of their composition and a
soft copy for the multimedia .

Judging Scale and Criteria:

1) Music 50%
(This criteria is based on clarity, lyrical content and overall musical
performance)

2) Stage Presence and Crowd Interaction 10%


(This Criteria is based on how well the band "rocks out"
and how well the band connects with the crowd)

3) Appearance and Personality 15%


(This criterion is based on the overall look and personality;
reflecting the character and style of Christian culture.

4) Original Material 20%


(This criterion judges the most important part of your act, your original
material! Band want to show originality in both their lyrical and instrumental
performance to impress the judges)

5) Crowd Applause 5%
(The key ingredient to rock stardom: THE FANS!)

C. DANCES
INTERPRETATIVE DANCE
Each district will perform an interpretative dance number with a uniform song to interpret. The song is
agreed upon by the officers. The song is entitled:
o Each district will composed of 8-10 members as district representation.
o The members of the groups may be composed of all males or females, or any combination thereof.
The use of pyrotechnic gadgets, a smoke or combustible material as props is not allowed.
o The criteria for judging are the following:
Interpretation of the Song/Execution ( Timing & Coordination, Projection & Expression) 40%
Mastery and Choreography (Creativity & Artistry, Style & Originality) 30%
Costume and Props 20%
Audience Impact 10%
TOTAL 100%
o The decision of the members of the board of judges is final and irrevocable.
o ENTRY FORM will be given upon registration during the camp and should be filled up. Entry form that is not
given back to the assigned officers on the deadline will be the basis that the district has NO ENTRY.

POWER DANCE
(A Praise Dance Craze)

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES:


1. The dance piece and choice of music must be strictly Christian music.
2. Dance performance must be a minimum of three (3) minutes and maximum of five (5) minutes. A corresponding
deduction of two (2) points is given every five (5) seconds overtime or time shortage. Ten (10) seconds pre-set is
given each group. After such, groups time automatically starts.
3. Dance troupe must compose of a minimum of five (5) and maximum of ten (10) members.
4. Groups should wear clothing reflecting the character and style of Christian culture.
5. MUSIC
a. Groups may use a performance piece with a one straight song with no maximum limit and no REMIX.
b. Groups must submit their final Material on CD OR USB prior to the competition.
c. Special request regarding playback of music during competition must be indicated on the CDs submitted (i.e. higher
speed playback, pre-set before Play back, etc.).
d. Changes in Music will not be entertained after the deadline.
e. No CDs will be accepted on the day of the competition.
f. Cassette tapes are not allowed.
g. Group representative are allowed in the control booth during the performance.

6. ATTIRES AND PROPS


a. This may include accessories such as hats, caps, gloves, scarves, jewelry and other forms of THEATRICAL dress.
However, bead necklace, bracelet, or other accessories made of Beads and any pointed materials are
PROHIBITED.
b. Props may be allowed in the performance as long as it doesnt destroy the stage set up or flooring or those that may
harm other groups performance.
c. Body oils, body paints, body and hair glitters are prohibited as is any other substance applied to the Body that may
affect the clean dry surface of the stage and the safety of fellow competitors.

NOTE: All groups must be in the event venue, 1 hour before the start of the competition

D. BALLGAMES

Basketball
1. NO uniform no play
2. Qualified to play: The winning team from the district or by selection.
3. Age 12 - 35 Single.

Volleyball
1. Teams consists of six players.
2. Qualified to play: The winning team from the district or by selection
3. District Uniform shirt.
4. Age 12- 35 Single.

Note : The judges decision regarding any committed violations in the guidelines in
all competitions is final and irrevocable.
