Subject: For Strict Compliance with New Procedures on Toga Measurement and Payment
of Toga Rental Fee; Timely Return of Toga and Penalty Fees for Late Return or
Lost Toga

GSA Academic Regalia Shop, also known as Cattleya, is the Loyola Schools supplier of academic caps
and gowns (togas) for graduation.

Beginning this year, a new set of procedures for the toga measurement and payment of rental
fee/penalty fee is as follows. Please read carefully for strict compliance.

1. Rental fee and Payment


a. Rental fee for the toga:

AB/BFA/BS graduates: P600 (P500 for the toga, P100 for the cord and medallion)
MA/MS graduates: P700
PhD graduates: P900

b. Students are instructed to pay the rental fee before they proceed for toga measurement.
c. Students must pay via direct deposit to the bank account of GSA Academic Regalia Shop
with BDO or with the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) any time before April 13:

Students may proceed to any BDO or BPI branch to make the deposit. For ease, students may
make the deposit at any of the nearest BDO and BPI branches along Katipunan Avenue:

BDO (1) ground floor, Regis Center across Gate 3; (2) corner of Katipunan Avenue
and B. Gonzales across Bos Coffee; (3) ground floor, SM Berkeley Residence.

BPI (1) ground floor, FBR Building beside Yellow Cab; (2) corner of Katipunan
Avenue and Escaler Street beside Shoppersville Supermarket.

Students proceed to toga measurement after making the deposit. IMPORTANT: keep your
deposit slip; this will be your proof of payment. NO DEPOSIT SLIP, NO TOGA
MEASUREMENT.

2. Toga Measurement

a. On-campus toga measurement is scheduled only on the following dates:


13-16 April 2016 (Wednesday to Saturday)
17 May 2016 (Tuesday, Seniors Pabaon Day)
Measurements will be taken from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on weekdays (April 13, 14, 15, and
May 17) and from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday (April 16) at Kostka Extension.

b. Students present their BDO or BPI deposit slip to GSA personnel who in turn will issue
them a provisional receipt of payment for the toga rental fee.
c. Take note that the last day for on-campus toga measurement is on May 17. Students who
miss or cannot make it to any of the scheduled dates for on-campus toga measurement must
proceed directly to the office of GSA Academic Regalia Shop any time from April 18 to
May 16.

3. Toga Distribution and Return


a. Togas will be distributed during graduation rehearsal on June 18 together with GSAs
official receipts of payment for the toga rental fee.

b. Students must return the toga immediately after graduation at the designated room for the
diploma claim in order to avoid payment of a late return or lost toga penalty fee.

4. Penalty for Late Return of Toga


GSA will charge the following late return penalty fee to graduates who fail to return their
togas immediately after graduation. The following penalty fees will apply for togas returned
after graduation until June 28, Tuesday:

AB/BFA/BS graduates P 200 per day of late return


MA/MS/PhD graduates P 500 per day of late return

Return of toga and payment of the penalty fee must be made directly to the office of GSA
Academic Regalia Shop and not to any office on-campus.

Clearance Form. Upon return of the toga and payment of the penalty fee, GSA will issue an
official receipt which will serve as the graduates clearance form to be presented at the
Registrars Office when claiming an unclaimed diploma and applying for a transcript of
records. NO OFFICIAL RECEIPT, NO RELEASE OF DIPLOMA, NO RELEASE OF
TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS.

5. Lost Togas
Togas not returned by June 29 (Wednesday) will be considered lost. GSA will charge the
graduate a lost toga fee of:

AB/BFA/BS graduates P 3,000


MA/MS graduates P 4,500
PhD graduates P 5,500

Payment of the penalty fee must be made directly to the office of GSA Academic Regalia Shop.

Clearance Form. Upon payment of the lost toga fee, GSA will issue an official receipt
which will serve as the graduates clearance form to be presented to the Registrars Office
when claiming an unclaimed diploma and applying for a transcript of records. NO OFFICIAL
RECEIPT, NO RELEASE OF DIPLOMA, NO RELEASE OF TRANSCRIPT OF RECORDS.
