Principles of Leadership
TEN PRINCIPLES OF LEADERSHIP 1st CLASS
I. Learn to lead is to serve.
A. "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve and give His life
a ransom for many." Mark 10:45 B. Mt 25:11, Lk. And John 22:24-26. 13:4, "... r
ose from supper, took off her dress up and took a towel, girded himself with it.
" C. To serve you must be sure who you are. 1. Insurance like towels 2. The uns
ecured bonds of love. 3. The insurance people think of 4. The unsafe positions.
5. Insurance wants to add value to the other six. The unsafe want to receive val
ue from others. 7. The most dangerous person that there is an insecure person be
cause she always serves itself.
II.Estabeleça their priorities according to God's purpose for your life.
A. Mt 6:33, "... Seek ye therefore first his kingdom and his righteousness and a
ll these things shall be added ". B. Establish your priorities and everything el
se will be conforming. C. Success is:
1.Conhecer God's purpose for your life. 2.Crescer to their maximum potential. 3.
Without the lives of others.
D. Jesus set priorities based on their way ...
1.Ele coped with the distractions of life. (Jn 11:6) 2.Ele responded wisely to t
he personal rejection.

3.Ele suffered the pain voluntarily. 4.Ele remained in love with His priorities.
◊ Jo. 17:4 "I glorified you on earth, having accomplished the work which gave me
to do ...".
III.Viva the life of God - Be an example to others.
A. Jesus never prayed that someone would believe in Him. He knew that integrity
could not be proven with words but must be discerned through the person's life.
He never lost time with his accusers. He kept his focus on the target. (Matt. 12
:24). B. Jesus never struggled to look good. He just was good. He made no effort
to appear honest. He was honest. He never tried to have a good reputation. He h
ad character.
IV.Importe with the lives of others.
A. The impact of a leader comes not from official titles or positions, but of au
thentic relationships. Jo. 4:5-30, 8: 1-11 B. He walked at the fair. He entered
the boats of fishermen. He entered the synagogue. He entered people's homes. He
went to every place imaginable. C. Lk. 9:6, "Then went out and ran all the villa
ges, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere." D. Acts 10:38, "... how God a
nointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went around d
oing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil, because God was with him
" E. There is no success without people. Are the very people who help you be a s
uccess and they do not always come up behind you. The truth is that they rarely
come on their own. You need to go after them. 1. Success always starts somewhere
2. Success always begins sometime in March. Success always begins with someone.
4. Success starts here, and now with you!
V.Renove to himself. Ex David - I Samuel 30:6
A. It seems that faith takes wings when you're tired. B. We need times of refres
hing and strengthening our own spirit, or collapse.

ng VI.Tenha a major commitment.
A. Jo. 14:2, "In my Father's house are many mansions. If not so, I would have sa
id unto you. I go to prepare a place for you. " B. Although Jesus spoke of the w
onders of heavenly things, he never tried to deceive their followers.
1.Ele warned of persecution, Mk. 10:30. 2.Ele spoke of afflictions, Jo. 16:33. 3
.Ele said he would have moments of loneliness. VII.Precisamos show determination
and strength when dealing with issues
difficult. A. Jesus always woke up very early.
1.Aquele that dominates his time also dominates his life. Mk. 1:35; Js.
6:12; Ex. 8:20; Gen. 19:27. B. Always remained calm in difficult situations. Mat
thew 8:25-26, "But the disciples came to wake him, saying, Lord, Salvanos! Peris
h! He asked them, then Jesus, Why are ye fearful, O you of little faith? And he
arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and made a great calm. C. Always solved
any problem with his opponents without delay. Mt 5:25, "Come to terms quickly w
ith your accuser while you are with him on his way ...". D. Always dealt with si

Phil. 1:6, "I am absolutely sure that he who began a good work in you will perfe
ct it until the day of Christ Jesus." VIII.Lidere with excellence, always seekin
g a higher level. A. The general or leader is always placed in a high position t
o take a wider view in order to better lead their army. B. Jesus ... 1. He lived
a life of high standards. ◊ Never build your future based on his past. Stop loo
king for where it has been and start looking where you're going!
Cl. 3:1-2, "... hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand
of God. Set your minds on things above, not on things here on earth ...". ◊ One
of the secrets of walking on top of things quite high, it will not look down!
2.Amou his neighbor with a love more noble.
I Corinthians 12:31, "... And I step to show you a still more excellent way. " ◊
he saw a woman tired and sore of spirit, which was already five husbands. He sa
w beyond the failures of her and, in addition to her reputation. He saw a heart
that wanted to be transformed. ◊ In Zacchaeus the crowd saw a tax collector, he
saw a confused man, who wanted a change of life.
3.Liderou with excellence.
◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ Jesus ever discriminated against someone because of race, sex, s
ocial status or physical appearance. He felt comfortable, both in the presence o
f fishermen, as a tax collector. He felt comfortable with men and women, rich an
d poor. Jesus recognized the potential that existed in every person. Born of a w
oman who conceived it still a virgin, He knew very well what was to have a quest
ionable past. He broke the religious traditions of the season. While the Jews co
nsidered the Samaritans a lower class of people, Jesus made a point of talking t
o them. This is the kind of leader that everyone wants to follow!
IX.Escolha and Invest in key individuals who will work with you.
Mk. 3:13, "Then went up the mountain and called that he wanted, and they came to
him ...".

Lk. 6:12-13, "In those days, retreated to the mountain to pray, and spent the ni
ght praying to God. And when he awoke, he called unto him his disciples and chos
e twelve of them ...". A. One of the biggest mistakes that boards and leadership
of businesses make is to choose or hire a leader or executive, then also choose
the team with whom he goes to work. Actually, no matter how good the team, if i
t is not chosen by the leader. If the leader did not choose his own team and tea
m members do not choose to work with such a leader, then the chances of failure
are huge! B. Some businesses have also recognized that another major mistake is
not investing all that is needed to fill a specific vacancy. We need the right p
erson in the right job! Anyone not working. If we had followed the example of Je
sus we would not have committed this mistake. C. Even with twelve great men work
ing in their proper functions (lembre-se. .. Matthias took the place of Judas),
Jesus saw the need to add more a man of high level for their organization. Sayin
g that he did everything to reach this man was bit. Saul of Tarsus, on a trip to
Damascus, was literally knocked to the ground and blinded by a bright light fro
m heaven. Jesus identified himself and told Saul that he would be a great apostl
e and gave him orders about how to proceed. That aggressive recruiting!
X.Lembre is, there is no success without a successor.
A. From the beginning Jesus told his disciples that he would be with them for on
ly one time. Sometimes the disciples argued with Jesus, wanting him to stay but,
Jesus reminded on occasion that the time was coming from Him. B. Jesus develope
d by the successors ...
1.Discipulado Constant
◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ Education or teaching in a practical context. Model or example in a prac
tical context. Experience in a practical context. Accountability in a practical
context.
2.Avaliação Constant
◊ When you ask the right questions when checking and digging into issues, the pe
rson's performance will always improve.
3.Expectativa Constant

Both for his actions, and in his teachings, Jesus made it clear that he expected
his followers to be fruitful and productive. Jo. 15:1-2.
THE INFLUENCE OF LEAD 2nd CLASS
"And what you heard from me through many witnesses, it conveys the same men who
will also qualified to teach others." II Timothy 2:2 I. Five Different Levels of
Influence A.€Obligation - People follow you because it is mandatory. This kind
of influence comes simply through an official title or position. The influence y
ou have in one's life is positional then not extend beyond the limits of his aut
hority in positional lifetime. (Ex. Your boss has an influence on your life unti
l you beat the clock that afternoon. If you find any street in the weekend he ha
s no right to say anything to you, just at work.) Value Relationship - People fo
llow because you want. At this level, people follow the leader even when not req
uired. People do not care how much you know until they know how much you care. I
f you can not create lasting bonds between you and the led, then the relationshi
p will not last long. True leadership lasts through deep relationships. Results
- People follow you because of what they have done. At this level people come to
gether with an aim or purpose in common. A person recognizes the results of the
other and goes to get the same in her life. Usually such people are putting up t
he targets of their own interests and creates bonds and friendships for life. Re
production or multiplication - People follow you because of what he has done spe
cifically for them. When starting to empower others with your wisdom and encoura
gement they also begin to be successful in their own lives. Its direct influence
in their lives, will play them the good qualities they observe in your life. Yo
ur aim is to produce a successor. Success without a successor is failure. Respec
t - People follow you because it has accomplished much and for so long that almo
st became a legend of the Gospel. (Billy Graham, Luke Huber, David Hogan.) This
level is reserved for leaders who have spent a lifetime leading and discipling p
eople. It is achievable, but only after many years of proving their faithfulness
and loyalty to subordinates.

Humane 1. "To be a leader, you need followers. And to have followers must exist
a trust between the leader and the led. So the most important quality, without a
doubt, the life of a leader is integrity. Without it you can not succeed, whate
ver their field of action: a football team, the army, or any one group in their
work. If your colleagues think any falsehood on their part if they think any lac
k of integrity, the leader and his purposes are subject to fail. Your talk and y

Principles of Leadership
1.
Help others to see their own potential. Our lives are not one type of test is th
e real thing! People must believe that God created them to accomplish a purpose,
to make a difference in this world. His biggest goal as leader is to empower ot
hers so that they can be great successes! Eph. 4:11-12, "And he gave some to be
apostles, some prophets, some evangelists and some pastors and teachers for the
perfecting of the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of C
hrist. .. ".
2.
G.
Be a good guide. • A guide is someone who can pass important information because
of his experience. • Experience - "Been there, done that!" • Success - "I've do
ne it, works like this." • Responsibility - "I want to take you with me, go toge
ther." • Communication - Words of encouragement, honest, constant. • Partnership
- Let's do it together, 50/50!
H.
Multiply yourself. • The original purpose of God for man was not just that he be
fruitful, but that man has multiplied as well. • Everyone has an innate need to
leave an inheritance for their children.
KEYS TO GOOD COMMUNICATION 3rd CLASS
The leader must be able to share knowledge and ideas to convey a sense of enthus
iasm to others. Gilbert Amelio "A man finds joy in giving an adequate response,
and the word, over time, how good!" Proverbs 15:23 INTRODUCTION The man spends o
n average 70% of their time awake, communicating verbally. The Process of Commun
ication, D.K. Berlow. Since 1955, 50% of the cost of the North American economy

"If I could go to university, I would concentrate on two areas: learning to writ
e and speak in public. Nothing is more important than the ability to communicate
effectively. "Former U.S. President Gerald R. Ford. I. Qualities of a Good Comm
unicator A. Belief - Believe in what you're talking about. The most powerful wea
pon on earth is your soul on fire. 1. Ordinary people become exceptional when sp
eakers express their convictions with passion. 2. "The most powerful tool on ear
th is a human soul burning with passion." Ferdinand Foch 3. There is no boring s
ubject - just boring speakers. B. Expectation - Believe that people can change.
1. 2. 3. There is small audience - just speakers with little vision and lack of
faith. If you show interest in their listeners, so they show interest in you. Th
e Four Steps of Faith successful communication: a. Faith in God - without that,
do only what you alone can do. b. Faith in yourself - without that, nothing will
. c. Faith in his subject - without it, will do, but without conviction. d. Fait
h in his audience - without it, will do, but without application of some of thei
r listeners. The Great Communicators believe in people and people believe in the
great communicators.
4. C.
Credibility - Live what you're talking about. 1. All communication involves thre
e essential components: intellect, emotion, and Will, that is, thinking, feeling
and action. So anything that I want to communicate will involve: a. b. c. d. 2.
Something that I know Something that I feel I am doing something good speaker N

a. b. 3.
Message view
In the first six months of the ministry of a pastor or leader communication prec
edes credibility. What you say is the same as you are. For the rest of his minis
try credibility precedes communication. What you are is equal to what you say.
4. D.
Opportunism - Know when to speak it, and when to stop. Prov. 25:11, "like appl
es of gold in settings of silver Is a word spoken in his time." 1. "A stone thro
wn at the right time is better than gold given at the wrong time." (Proverb) 2.
Learn the "when" and "what" to say. (Some tips) a. b. c. d. Be guided his audien
ce, not its subject. Trust yourself to the point of risking changes in your mess
age. Worry about the impact on the audience than on your image or reputation.€De
termine the acceptance of hearing what they're talking about.
E.
Creativity - Learn how to speak. Be creative. 1. Studies have shown that there i
s a direct link between being predictable or not, in the sense of the impact fel
t by the audience. The more predictable the speaker, the less impact. Moreover,
the less predictable is the speaker, the greater the impact.
F.
Application - Learn why talking about and what your goal. 1. 2. "Preach expectin
g a verdict" (George Blackston) How to develop a practical message or applicable
? a. Focus on the audience. "In preparation of his message, imagine the people s
itting around your desk." (Joseph Parker) Develop an action-oriented subject, or
application. The purpose of his message is not to explain a subject, but to ach
ieve a target. Wait for a practical response on the part of his listeners. 12

G.
Freedom - Have fun while you're talking about. 1. When the speaker is serious ab
out the climate becomes more overweight. 2. When the speaker does not have any s
erious weather is more mild.
H.
View - Show while you're talking about gestures, words that paint the picture of
what you're talking about. 1. People do what they see.
I.
2. People feel what they see. Identification - Your audience has to be proud of
what you're talking about - what they are needing to hear right now. 1. Three wa
ys to identify with his audience: a. He speaks with simplicity. The word communi
cate comes from the Latin word communis which means "common." Prior to communica
te we have to establish a common ground. The more we have in common, the greater
the potential for communication. Know your audience. "When I'm getting ready to
reason with someone, I spent a third of my time thinking about myself and what
I say and two thirds of my time thinking about the other person and what he will
say." (Abraham Lincoln) Include the audience on your subject. Talk to me and yo
u're talking to yourself. Contact me and I'll listen. Talk about me and you got
me.
b.
c.
2.
Retain only 20% of what we hear, but 70% of what we speak. It is so important to
involve members of the family group at the time of the study.
J.
Influence - Speak in a way that leads people to put into practice the message yo
u're preaching. 1. Four conditions to receive a favorable response from the audi
ence: a. b. c. d. The listener needs a receptive attitude. The listener must und
erstand the benefit that has to listen. The listener must have the capacity to u
nderstand what is being spoken. The listener must have the ability to implement
what we are hearing.

V. Benefits of confrontation
A. Remember, confrontation is necessary! Do not rebuke a scoffer, for he hate th
ee: and reprove the wise, and he will love you. Proverbs 9:8 He who rebukes a ma
n will find, then, more favor than he who flatters with the tongue. Prov. 28:23
1. Treat people with love and affection, but you're not wrong
confront it, because the confrontation is necessary!
2. Keep a humble attitude, and ask forgiveness to the manner in which
you confronted someone (was hit in the wrong way), but not the confrontation its
elf.
3. We see the benefits of transparency and confrontation.
• • • Brings us a better understanding of the problem produces transformation in
the lives of those involved. It really makes the relationship grow.
4. Never forget the words of encouragement. Make a point that
person understand that their confrontation was based on love for her. Every time
we confront each other and we are transparent, we created a growth opportunity
for all involved.
5. Once there was a confrontation, always make sure to come back and check
that there is no resentment or regret later, and again encourage the person conf
ronted. If the problem persists, then search for their leader.
6. Compliment the person for their transparency. VI.De eye on the reaction
A.€The reaction is more serious than the error that led to the correction we hav
e yet another reason to incessantly, giving thanks to God, is that since you rec

I. Preparation before counseling
A. Be filled with the Holy Spirit. B. Pray in the Holy Spirit (praying in tongue

II.Procedimento during counseling
A. Get the person with an affectionate greeting. The initial impression of the p
