death which in the play he wouldnt give in and he declared for more weight to be put on.

H is for Hale Reverend John Hale is a minister that is an expert dealing with witchcraft and he was called to come examine Betty and Ruth.
He also hates witchcraft because he thinks that
it is a terrible thing.

Betty the daughter of Reverend Parris gets an illness that
people think may be witchcraft.
Also Ruth Putnam daughter of the Putnams also gets the
same illness as Betty.
This happens after some of her friends and her were
caught in the forest dancing J is for John Proctor John Proctor is married to Elizabeth Proctor.
They have 3 boys and at the end
of the story Elizabeth gets pregnant.
He had an affair with Abigail Williams
K is for Knitting
Mary Warrens knitted a doll for Elizabeth Proctor
while she was in court.
That doll caused some problems because
Mary had left a needle in the doll and Abigail had used a needle to stick in herself to make it look like that Elizabeth Proctor tried to kill her. L is for Lies
Many people in lied in Salem to
get out of witch craft and to also get out of being hung.
Basically you had to lie to not get
hung. Most times if you told the truth you got hung. M is for Martha Corey
Martha Corey was Giles Corey 3rd wife.
Her reading habits led her to arrest
And also to conviction of witchcraft
N is for Naked
While the girls were in the forest dancing with
Tituba.
Mercy took off her clothes and danced naked.
O is for Overthrow
John Proctor wanted to overthrow the court.
The court got mad at him and didnt believe he
was telling the truth so they sentenced him. P is for Pregnant
Elizabeth Proctor at the end of the story got pregnant with
John Proctor.
That made it so that she wasnt able to be hung because
she was pregnant. Q is for Quitting
Hale said the he wanted to quit and not be a
part of the court any more because he thought that the court wasnt fair. R is for Reverend Parris
Reverend Parris is Abigail uncle.
He is the minister of Salems church.

here. T is for Tituba Tituba was was the one to lead Abigail and her friend in the forest to dance, but then they got caught. Tituba was the first one to confess about working with the Devil, and all the girls followed her.

Most of the trials in Salem were unfair and not
throughly thought out at all.
They liked to make it so that people would get
hung. V is for Vengeance
Abigail wanted to get vengeance on Elizabeth.
She said that Elizabeth stabbed her in the

John Proctor called Abigail a whore while they
were in court.

Betty Parris and Ruth Putnam had a big impact on
witch craft in the beginning of the story because they were sick from dancing in the forest so many people thought they were cursed with witchcraft. Z is for Drizzle
