FLP-1260 Service Guide
7. Feed a plate through the processor. Observe how each set of drive rollers pull
the plate out of the preceding set. Check for skewing or buckling (noting how
each side of the roller affects the plate). If this happens isolate the roller set
causing the problem.
9. To adjust the roller pressures, remove the roller sets from the tank.
11. Adjust the screws as required making sure that the adjustment is the same on each
end of the roller for even pressure.
NOTE: The finisher roller setting is CRITICAL to ensure consistent and evenly
finished and dried plates. Fine limit adjustment of the screws is required
until the top roller is running dry.
Over tightening will cause a wet section in the centre of the top roller.
Under tightening will cause a wet section on the ends of the top roller.
15. Turn the Service Key Switch back to its normal operating position (Horizontal).
NOTE: After use the keys must be removed from the switch and should be
retained by an authorised member of staff.

Procedure
1. Turn the processor OFF at the main power supply.
2. Remove the top covers.
3. Remove the developer tank lid.
4. Using a strip of litho plate approximately 50 mm wide, slide it under each scrub
roller and move it from side to side to check the pressure.
5. To adjust the pressure, slacken the two spring retaining screws on the retaining latch
(A) swivel the retaining latch back so that the scrub roller assemblies can be adjusted.
Turning the screws clockwise, decreases the pressure.
Turning the screws counter-clockwise, increases the pressure.
NOTE: Care should be taken not to over adjust the 2nd scrub roller, as this could
result in mis-alignment of the gearbox drive coupling.
6. Reposition the retaining latch (A) and tighten the spring retaining screws
(finger tight is sufficient).
7. Repeat No. 5 above until a uniform light pressure is obtained across the width
of scrub roller (see Fig. 7.7).
8. Refit the developer tank lid.
