195Eg SOFTWARE UPDATE

The Software Update feature allows the user to update the latest Model 195Eg operating system software from a file
supplied by the factory or downloaded from the Internet to the Model 195Egs flash memory.

1. Using Internet Explorer or other web browser, open the internal Web Page of the local ESTeem 195Eg you wish
to upgrade.

2. Determine the model number of your 195Eg (195Eg or 195Eg-2) wireless Ethernet modem by selecting the Top
Page. The model number is listed beside Model (Figure 1 and Figure 2).

3. Download the update file to your computer. (swupdate-195eg-01209.img for Model 195Eg or swupdate-
195eg-2-01209.img for Model 195Eg-2)

4. Choose Software Update. Next select Software update image file

5. To upload from a file on your computer, select Upload via web browser and press Next

6. Using the Browse option, locate the swupdate-195eg-01209.img or swupdate-195eg-2-01209.img and select
open. Press the Upload file button. NOTE: May take up to 30 seconds for upload.

7. The modem will upload the image file and prompt you to validate the image update (Figure 6). Once the image
is validated and updated, the modem will reboot. This process will take approximately 3 minutes. Following the
reboot, please select the Go to Top button and return to operation or configure as needed.
