July/August 2016 Practical Examinations

1. Entries and late entries for the above examinations will be received between 09 00 hours and 14 00 hours at the
Mauritius Examinations Syndicate, Rduit as follows:

Entries: Monday 18, Tuesday 19, Wednesday 20, Thursday 21 and Friday 22 April 2016
Late Entries: Wednesday 27 April 2016

2. Prospective candidates/applicants are requested to call at the Mauritius Examinations Syndicate, Rduit with their
ABRSM applicant cards to fill in the entry forms and pay the appropriate fees as detailed below:

3. Payment of fees should be made in cash or by debit or credit card or by means of an office cheque issued by a bank drawn to the order of the
Mauritius Examinations Syndicate. If payment is made by cash, kindly tender the exact amount to the cashier.

4 Candidates aged 18 years and above should produce their National Identity Card and original A4 format Birth Certificate. Those under 18
should produce their original A4 format Birth Certificate and either the Identity/Admission Card issued by the MES or by the NTA together
with one passport-size photograph (4 cm x 5 cm), or two recent passport-size photographs bearing their name and signature, and
countersigned by one person who has known them personally for at least two years and who is either Member of the National Assembly,
Medical Practitioner, Barrister-at-Law, Attorney-at-Law, Notary Public, Bank Manager, Principal of a recognised Educational Institution,
Headteacher, Police Officer not below the rank of Assistant Superintendent or Officer in the Public Service not below the rank of Assistant
Secretary.

The person countersigning the photographs should give his/her own particulars as follows:
Name, Designation and Signature

5. Married women should also produce their original Marriage Certificate.

6. Applicants/candidates wishing to enter for the above examinations at Grade 6, 7 or 8 are kindly requested to produce proof documents of a pass
in Theory Grade 5 or higher grade to be attached to the ABRSM Entry Form.

7. Applicants are informed that the Practical examinations session has been scheduled as from end July 2016. Timetables will be issued by early
July 2016 at latest. A re-entry voucher can be issued if, due to some unavoidable and unpredictable event, a candidate cannot be present for the
examination and the MES is informed in writing (supported by documentary evidence) no later than the day of the exam.
