"Irregularities" among the youth defines immorality, improper behavior, and ill-manneredness of the

youth. The youth nowadays are said to be related to gambling, bad or unhealthy habits (such as
smoking and drinking alcohol), crimes, and many more. But these "irregularities" can be deviated
from the youth though recreational activities.

Recreation refers to activities of leisure. These activities are done for amusement, enjoyment, or
pleasure of the person, and are considered to be "fun". Recreational activities keep our mind and
body busy. Irregularities of the youth can be caused by problems, the feeling of hopelessness, anger,
etc. Negative feelings gather within us and are slowly growing. After some time, there would be a
need to let go of these feelings and some of us do this through negative activities. By having
recreational activities, the youth can channel these feelings into socially acceptable activities that
would help the individual to refresh and relax. Recreational activities help an individual to develop
moral values that will help them to think, respond, and act on situations and problems calmly. These
would help them develop the right way of thinking and do the right and appropriate actions.

An example of a recreational activity is playing sports, such as basketball, volleyball, table tennis,
lawn tennis, badminton, bowling, etc. Listening to music, reading, studying, watching tv and hobbies
can also be considered as recreational activities. These activities help the individual to relax and
freshen up the mind. These makes an individual think clearly and helps eliminate the "irregularities"
that one possesses.
