This shot is taken from the open space just south of the Breezeway
Mobile Home and RV Park.
From this sideways angle, the head and the long neck are on the left. The
massive body has a swayed back, and the front leg is tucked in, but the
back leg appears to be sprawled. The spiny tail extends to the right.
The head of The Kearny Dragaon is a tall granite outcropping. You might
imagine the eyes poking out of the shadowed space. There is a horn-like
nose and a raised section far to the left that might be nostrils.
Curving down and back from the head is a long thick neck.
The main body of The Kearny Dragon. The scaly back and belly edge
downhill, and there looks to be a large front leg curled up and tucked in.
Like any dragon, there are imperfections in its tough outer skin. Right at
the very peak of the shoulders is a large solid rock wart.
The Kearny Dragon has an arched back. Its hind quarters reach down to a
wide thick lizard-like leg that appears to be sprawled out and relaxed.
Using the Saguaro cactus from above as a reference, you can see that The
Kearny Dragon has a long, gnarly tail. At the very far right you might see
something extra on the end. Might that be a dragon rattle ?
This is the original photo from the Golf Course, but blown up. You can see
the lizard-like head with the eyes plus the neck and the shoulder.
This is the rest of the picture, with the body, the tucked-in leg, the
swayed back and haunch. The tail runs off the image to the right.
This is the original photo from the Breezeway blown up. You can see the
head, neck, body, front leg and swayed back.
This photo completes the picture, with the swayed back, the haunch with
the leg sprawled out and the whip-like tail with possible rattle.
Here if the wide-angle shot one more time.
The eye of your imagination should be able to see
The Kearny Dragon.
