1.3 The Short History Of Company

Hazersa Engineering and Construction company founded in 1999 in Diyarbakr Turkey.From the
time it was founded until today the company made a remarkable progress and sustainable success in
the field of civil engineering.The company aims to serve to public and continue high quality
standart works for public prosperity.

The company focus on more infrastructure projects such as water supply and pipe system works and
road design projects.The company completes many projects in Diyarbakr and many cities around
Turkey.The company trusts its experience and their technical capacity and determine continue to
make better works in the field of civil engineering

1.4 Scope of The Company

-Build high quality standart infrastructe system to serve public

- Meet the on going needs and expectations of customers on time and, to ensure customer
satisfaction and loyalty
- Constantly work together to create successful products and safe and strongly build structures
- To fulfill our commitments on time and fully completed,
-With the support and participation of all staff at all times to ensure quality and continuity at every
stage, allowing a company to be highly competitive and sought-after in the sector,

2.1 Applied Engineering Education

2.1.1 Subject

Applied engineering internship is great project for engineering students of university. I m grateful to
have that education during my undergratude study.That internship period of education is the last
semester of all engineering students. Intern Engineer, Applied Engineering Education covers the
latest teaching period will be applied in industry for future engineers. "Intern Engineers" theoretical
and practical training at our university, taking all the courses and graduation requirements are
entitled to have reached this status.The students who have completed courses successfuly then
becomes "Intern Engineers" that has a period of about 4.5 months (one semester), ITAK (Intern
Monitoring Office ) that is determined by the institution / organization / working in the company
will receive a pratical training. Engineers placed the entire period of the industry intern will spend
his study in the company. Intern engineer is subjected to this process and to evaluate the
performance evaluation phase of this Institution / Organization / Company 's comments will be
taken into consideration . Once you have provided the other criteria for engineers who have
completed their training and intern may take the title "Engineer''.Intern engineer works with the
company's technical staff and develop his engineering skills on site which prepares him for the
future working as a civil engineer.Intern engineers has chance to proof themselves before they
become engineers.It is a big advantage for their future work experience.Intern engineer can make a
difference compare to other new graduate engineers after they complete applied engineerin
orientation at the industry or companies.This report covers my internship period and the advantages
that I gained and a lot of information I obtained about appication of civil engineering

2.1.2 Purpose

- I believe, the main aim of internship programme is to learn the new things which is not taught in
the school.This is pratical education for engineering students.

-Institution / Organization / Company intends to run bussiness with coperation intern engineers,
- In my opinion by contributing to the training of future engineers will employ its own on-site, our
country will grow more and have more qualified engineers,

- It is a chance for intern engineers toget to know field and meet the business people for the
engineering works . It will provide positive result for students future carrier.

- With the applied engineering education in the future engineers who will be working on-site,
institution / organization / company where the business units / branches needed to grow up in the
industry, providing well-trained engineers, the intern will be more confident and ready for field
after the completion of the engineering process,

- During the internship period, "Intern Engineers" to be met by the university in Company 's
liability in this regard

- Intern Engineers after completion of programme are prepared to take responsibility to start
working as engineer

- Industry cooperates Intern Engineering but also qualitative information on the academic staff of
the project and will take a significant role in the solution in maintaining,

- Intern engineers has information theoritical aspects and the fact that the ideal of innovation
potential due to the companies innovative products, services and processes. From the University
will contribute to the increase of the relationships need and monitor the internsip period

2.1.3 Content of The Report

In this report, you are able find many information about the internship period.You can know about
the company,its backround and its working brance.In addition, You can find out why applied
engineering education is done and why it is important for students.You can have the idea of why
this training is done .You can observe the purpose and subject of this training.Briefly,You can find
out many details about the internship period.

My aim is to write this report to show the results, reasons and practises for
that internship project.So that the report will cover the datails of works and
facilities that intern engineer is benefit and develop his pratical skills which will
effect his future career in many positive ways

Company

I did my internship on infrastructure

water supply project which is a field of
civil engineering in Kahta Adyaman and
in a combined cycle powerplant
infrastructure in Mardin.I worked with
civil engineer to learn practical
engineering in field.It was very useful
period for my future work life

 I have mostly been to office to work on feasibilty study of current company's project with
technical staff of company.I develop my computer graphics and software programmes skills
such as AutoCAD, Office programmes like Excel and Word and how to organize the office
works and make contact with customers and the way to order construction materials and as well
as following new released bids on internet, in addition I had chances to work on construction
site that helped me a lot understanding application of civil engineering particularly
infrastructure projects such as water supply works and road design

DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION

 I think applied intern enginnering is a great project to prepare new engineers to engineering work
life. All engineering students take all necessary courses in order to become engineers and then with
intern engineering project, Future engineers also experience working in the field about engineering
practices.I learned in the framework of different projects what were the responsibilities, the
costs,design criterias,materaials using,planning and organizing work.B y seeing many aspects of
civil engineering application on the construction site and office, I could imagine the huge
responsibility that carry civil engineers and see that a single mistake can be easily affect the
structure safety and cost increase.

This internship in infrastructure was very useful because I could understand and assess important
part of the construction life I will lead in the future. The skills I acquired in the field and behind the
desk were extremely enriching and useful. We have the huge advantage as intern engineers to
practice a profession the application of which has no boundary and it is extremely beneficial to
discover how engineers find solutions, face problems that happen in varied projects,varied
mentalities and with different capabilities. Therefore, I encourage every new intern engineer of my
school university of Gaziantep and all the others who have the opportunity to participate in this kind
of experience practical engineering.

Finally I would like to thank warmly Civil Engineer Serdar Krmzta for his welcome, the
organization of my internship Hazersa Construction and Engineering as well as for the kindness of
its each employees I would like to thank also University of GAZANTEP ITAK office and its
support in this internship period .
