Lesson Content Description:
Students will learn what an adjective is and use adjectives to
describe a monster in a book read by the teacher.

Instructional Strategies/Method of Delivery:


T. will read a book which includes several adjectives to describe a monster.
T. will state the definition of an adjective.
T. will encourage students to work as a table to come up with adjectives to describe the monster
from the book.
T. will model how to use a bubble map and where to put adjectives.

the concepts of adjectives and the book.

adjective is.

EL- T. will refer to the illustrations in the book when referring to the different adjectives,
Special Needs: S. will work with one student one on one so that she can contribute her ideas
without being overpowered in a group.
Technology:
T. will use document projector to project the bubble map. This way students will be taught how
to use it correctly. They will also be able to visually see the words the class comes up with to
describe the monster.

LESSON PRESENTATION

INTO

T. will explain that they are going to be reading a book about a big green monster. T. will
explain that they will describing the monster later, so they should pay attention to how the book
describes him.
