Dear Scholarship Committee:

This letter is in high recommendation of Alicia Palmer to receive any scholarships that would assist in
her education. I have known Alicia for two years as she a student in my Agriscience program and
seen her everyday in class for two and a half hours while she was here. She is a very conscientious
student and a very hard worker. Alicia is also a member of our FFA chapter and volunteers whenever
she can. She demonstrates a high commitment to learning while in my animal science class. She has
gained knowledge in animal and veterinary sciences.

Alicia is an outstanding leader in the classroom receiving straight As and is also on the honor roll.
She was also selected to be a member of the National Technical Honor Society at the Lapeer County
Education and Technology Center. She is a true leader as she assesses and manages health concerns
in our animal center. She assists her peers in the classroom in studying and completing animal chores.
She is highly motivated and always demonstrates initiative in my program and has achieved the Elan-
co Animal Science certification and the Pork Quality Assurance certification after only one year. Ali-
cia started on the Veterinary Assistant curriculum program in her second year in animal science. She
has excelled in this program and is completing the course as well as an additional Elanco Veterinary
Medicine Science certificate. Alicia had the opportunity to compete in the State FFA Veterinary Con-
test last year and received a Gold award. Her dedication to projects is outstanding and commendable.
I sincerely feel she would be an asset to the veterinary science industry in the future.

Alicia knows the value of a good work ethic and she displays hard work, responsibility and commit-
ment in everything she does. She has received the Greenhand and Chapter FFA Degree awards as
well as being selected for the Michigan FFA Academic Excellence Award. She has also been award
the Leadership Award for exemplary leadership in our FFA chapter.

Alicia plans on attending Spring Arbor College in the Pre-Veterinary Program through the ROTC pro-
gram at Eastern Michigan University. I would highly recommend Alicia to receive any scholarship
that would assist her in furthering her education. If you have any questions, you may reach me at the
above address or by phone at (810) 667-6132.

Sincerely,

Tamara J. Hyatt,
Agriscience Instructor/FFA Advisor
