Energy set to head east in Canada

TransCanada has proposed the Energy East Pipeline Project which will include a 4,400 km pipeline
that will run west to east in Canada and benefit economies across the country.

T
he project involves three major
components: pipeline conversion, the
construction of new pipeline sections,
and the construction of new pipeline
facilities. The Energy East Pipeline Project
will make use of an existing natural gas
pipeline and will convert the pipeline to oil
service. New sections of pipe will also need to
be constructed in Alberta, Saskatchewan,
eastern Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick
to link up with the newly converted pipe. In
addition, associated facilities including
pump stations, tank terminals and marine
facilities will be constructed in order to
successfully move the crude oil from Alberta
to New Brunswick and beyond.
The proposed projects involves converting
approximately 3,000 km of TransCanadas
existing natural gas Canadian Mainline to
crude oil service, and constructing
approximately 1,400 km of new pipeline.
While the exact pipeline route will only be
determined after public and regulatory The proposed route for the Energy East Pipeline Project.

Dual/Multiple Diameter
Enduro has developed a slotted cup and slotted disc designed for pigging dual diameter and multiple
diameter pipelines. The special sized cups and disc have proven to minimize by-pass and provide a near
constant seal in dual diameter and multiple diameter pipelines. Specially designed pigs can be
manufactured to accommodate brushes and/or magnets for pipelines as small as 3" X 4" with 1.5D bends.
