CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Was selected for the Indian Academy of Sciences - Summer Research Fellowship Programme
2013 to work under Dr C V Srikanth, Regional Centre of Biotechnology on 'Host Pathogen
Interactions'from May to July 2013

Completed a fifteen day Industrial Training at Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilizers Ltd. (MCF) during
December 2012

Worked in a team under the guidance of Prof S. Pushpavanam, Professor, Department of

Chemical Engineering, IIT-Madras, on Development of Bioremediation Technologies for the
Treatment and Reuse of Household Greywater from May 2012 to July 2012.

Won 2nd place in Industry Defined Problem, an event in which the problem statement was given
by Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) and was conducted as a part of NITKs
annual technical fest ENGINEER-2012, one of the largest technical symposiums in India

Won 3rd place in SPARSH (sponsored by GE), at ENGINEER-2011, which called upon
participants to revive the ailing clay roof tile industry in and around Mangalore by coming up with
solutions which were both economically and environmentally sustainable
